Granger allows us to go parsons at stretch four, and switch everything among harden parsons and granger. Takes casspi and Garcia mins, cuts into Lin and jones mins too. We can play granger 30 mins per game easy. He becomes the ginobli.
Conditioning over many years. The Rockets are still the only team to ever win a championship and have the next cover of si be a soccer player.
i really hope we get him. this will help out tremendously with our second team. which is the weakest aspect of our team right now and IMO, whats holding us from winning a championship. I don't think we can win a ring with our bench. If our starting 5 could play 48 minutes, i'd be like hell yes.
Thanks, Codman, I don't follow the Mavs but I do see that Vince is playing 25 mpg for the Mavs and is plenty productive for them. If Granger can do as much as Vince, I'd be happy to have him. This, coincidentally is right about the minutes that Delfino gave the team last season. They never quite find a replacement for Delfino as a true "spread 4." Granger can be a luxury version of Delfino.
Fansided: However, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, it looks like the Los Angeles Clippers are the favorite. The Los Angeles Clippers have emerged as the frontrunners to sign forward Danny Granger, league sources told Yahoo Sports. Once Granger clears waivers in the next 48 hours, the Clippers’ ability to offer him significant playing time and championship contention under coach Doc Rivers makes them the most attractive destination, league sources told Yahoo Sports. http://fansided.com/2014/02/26/nba-rumors-los-angeles-clippers-favorite-sign-danny-granger/#!xERUY
What in the world were we going to send to Indiana to match salaries???? Were we going to give Indiana Asik for Granger? I think you have some bad info there Codman.
Granger hasn't played all that well this season. However, I still think he would be a good pickup. However, if you're expecting a Granger from 2 years ago...you're going to be very disappointed. Let's hope he continues to get stronger after his past couple injury stints, but he's certainly a shell of his former self at this point. Regardless, still worth a pick up IMO. The reality is, we still have very replaceable players on our roster.
Absolutely deserves its own thread! Granger here would be awesome. He isn't healthy enough to play huge minutes anyway and Parsons is being overused.
Screw Grainger and the Clips we don't need Grainger! Go get Jimmer so we have another 3pt specialist that can play! So tired of the LA thing used to be the Lakers know it's the Clips I say screw LA, they are starting to be like Utah from the late 80 and early 90's
I firmly believe Sam Hinkie tried to tell Granger to stick it in Philly, cause in the summer he could offer him a sign-and-trade ensuring Granger a larger contract. I think his end destination would've been here, in Houston, for Lin or Asik, on a 1-year big money deal. I think he had this lined up. It would've also let Granger accrue bird rights, so in 2015 when he's out, as is Parsons, we have both bird rights and can approach other FAs. He wanted to flip Granger in the summer on a more favorable contract, and Houston was a suitor.
Hate her but she has some scoop <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Granger's reps are at the Clipper game and mtg with team officials tonight, but Rockets also making a push so several reasons to be here.</p>— Ramona Shelburne (@ramonashelburne) <a href="https://twitter.com/ramonashelburne/statuses/438893957930446848">February 27, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
They will have to actually do that before they will be thought of as contenders nationally. Show me one person in the national media who think either: 1. Houston could beat the Spurs in a 7 game series 2. The Blazers are a title contender.
