Don't know if this deserved its own thread, but eh

Sixers, Danny Granger finishing buyout today, per sources. Morey's wanted him for a long time..... It sounded like the Spurs were a lock, but now....I'm not so sure.
Hmm. I wondered about that. do we do this more to block another team? Hamilton looked pretty good last night, if he can sustain that type of play, not sure it would be necessary to go after Granger. That said, you can never have too much talent.
Granger is going to want minutes and on a 'contending' team Now of the ones listed: First there was some rumor I saw on ESPN yesterday in passing that the Heat players did not want Granger - lets say thats partially true we'll take them off the list Bulls - they arent contending though he would get PT there Clippers: He would def get PT here with Dudley sucking and Redick out. But his role in that offense would be limited as the majority of the shots going to Griffin, Paul and Crawford. Still I feel this may be his best chance but once Redick is back - he may get buried on the bench. Spurs - they have Marco, Gino, Green and Leonard coming back soon from his injury -- they would somehow fit him in and make it work of course but I dont see him getting a lot of time in SA unless someone else gets hurt or is in Pop's dog house Rockets - Could give him the most PT off the bench as a backup SG or SF. He would be giving more of a green light on offense off the bench than maybe other places - but he would def be a bench guy only taking over Casspi and Garcia's minutes. Of the teams the Clippers probably give him the bench chance to start with Redick's injury and Dudley's complete suckage this year - they could move Barnes back to the bench if needed. But I would imagine he may lose that role once Redick is back. The Rockets probably give him the best chance in terms of a 'showcase' on a playoff team but are the Rockets 'contending' I am not sure just yet.
Granger is not a 2 or a 3 in our system. He's a stretch 4. He's not going to be getting minutes behind Harden and Parsons. If he comes here it will only be to play the 4 alongside those guys.
Our bench needs to improve quite a bit to get to playoff level, and if he can play at a decent level through all his injuries he would add a lot to the roster.
Granger, if he gets semi-healthy, can back up Parsons. Hamilton looks like he can back up Harden. We be deep.
Not optimistic about Morey's ability to land the big name free agent. He almost always loses out on those.
So Bev / Lin JH / JH Parsons / Granger Jones / DMO Howard / Asik Wow solid 10 man rotation right there. In fact that bench is starting caliber and definitely playoff bound in the East
