Given the owner is not in the best situation financially, I'm not sure he wants to rebuild. It will make his business worse. If Harden and WB force their way out, they will try to get quick replacements. Tillman can't afford long rebuild or being out of playoff.

Isn't it a good thing to force him to sell?

It would be a risk but decent owners are out there.

    Optimism thread :)

Trade Gordon + House + pick 16 to IND for Myles Turner
    Use MLE on Willie Cauley-Stein
Give Tuck 2 year deal ($24M) It ain't my $$$ and for services rendered
Sign Trey Burke, Gerald Green, Jeff Green, Jae'sen Tate, Hartenstein, Noah Vonleh to vet min (+ dine for free cards at all Landry's spots & Golden Nuggets)

    WB - Burke - Clemons
Harden - BMac - Htine Green
    Ariza - Nwaba - Tate
Turner - Tuck wagon - Harty
WCS - Uncle Jeff - Vonleh

That bench is short, but is switchable
WCS running at rim for put back while WB attacks + Beard, Ariza, Turner, Burke, BMac, Nwaba, Tuck. Uncle Jeff all spotted up for 3 (no way that group would miss 27 in a row which technically didn't happen because... refs)
Starting D, switch everything with WCS and Turner playing backup

    Groupings
    WB - Burke - Nwaba - Turner - WCS / Vonleh
Beard - BMac - Htine Green / Tate - Tuck - Uncle Jeff / Harty

EDIT: Or use MLE to sign Ibaka... pretty much the same premise (better 3 point shooter)

Yeah.... I got nuffin.... this off-season has been the worst... thx 2020

If you think that way. It makes sense.

If you are rebuilding you 100% do the Ariza deal. 100%.

16th pick is nothing to balk at.

There is no 100 percent in sports business other than Jordan, Olajuwon, Lebron, Duncan.

    With due respect.

Depending on all the offers. We'll wait for follow ups.

16th in a below average draft, I'd be cautious to judge.

You rebuild when you declare it.
If you say nothing, it's not official.

Yes, but Covington doesn't help much on a rebuilding team. Ariza will probably be flipped before the season is over too. When you rebuild you're just looking for young players, put a bunch out there and see who sticks, see who can be part of a new core then go from there.

It is also puzzling that a Blazers team think they can beat the Lakers, Clippers, Nuggets and Warriors barring a shocking development.

I would start thinking about a rebuild myself because Lillard is going to bolt soon.

    2) Never said it was a bad trade, just nothing spectacular or fantastic.
Would give Stone his credit soon once the rebuild is on the way. Hold your horses.

The Blazers should have traded CJ about 3 seasons ago. It's always been clear that they've gotten the most they can out of that duo but some franchises are content with just being a playoff team.

The Draft will be interesting, tons of trades to announce and go into effect.

Really interested in seeing what GSW can do.

This would shape up the West for this season.

Feel bad for the Rockets, when you have someone like Tilman, having superstars would give you a bad taste in your mouth.
