He has talent there is no doubt was drafted and is paid to play baseball for years. He is coming to a team with 2 all world point guards. His skill set is needed and his short comings will be covered up by the TEAMS strength. All JT needs to do is play his game and Harden & CP3 will play theirs making very thing work as one. Taylor is a nice pick up.
Yep, Pierce was taken 2 picks after Teagle. As I recall, it was hard for scouts to tell what Pierce's natural position was, due to Rice basically playing 1 on 5. But he was clearly the better player from my seats at Autrey Court.
He wanted a multiple year contract at an amount vastly above the minimum or he would stay in Europe. The Rockets were not in a position to offer that.
I remember Teagle but don't remember Taylor at all. Teagle was more well-known, I think, one of the best came out of Baylor. Those were the hay days of SWC basketball. Who can forget Jon Koncak signing that huge contract with Atlanta!
We need that slashing and finishing capability that moute had. Ariza couldn’t finish at the rim for sh%#t.
Yeah, we can use it. You're right about Ariza finishing. I could never understand why he wasn't better at it. I hope we actually get this guy, so all the talking about him hasn't been for naught. I wish we could still add Nunnally. Guess that ship has sailed. Sounded like a great shooter, and we can't have too many of those, not on this team.
Is this why he was overseas? I hope things have changed and his character is no longer in question. Then again I am not looking for a friend > just play basketball.
I keep focusing on that part about Taylor playing out his contract that goes through 2019. I feel like this signing is about next offseason. "In Real Madrid, despite the succulent offer , guaranteed in its first year and around two million dollars - the minimum salary of veteran are 2.4 -, rely on the player to continue in the template and comply with his contract with the white team, which runs until June 30, 2019. "
