Think Garuba could be a great backup C on his rookie deal; no reason to move him.

JC is a clown. Dude shows up to Paris fashion week like he is a big timer but he is just a scrub who might be out of the league soon. Have some humility my man!

The organization has already stated that they're letting coach make decisions on this roster who they're going to fill out this free agents what type of guys they want. I feel like KPJ is definitely a guy coach wants on the team. Obviously Jalen Green, Sengun, Jabari, and the 2 rookies aren't moving. Out of these 6 he needs to get the improvement he has said is there to be had with proper shot selection better defensive schemes and holding players accountable. Garuba has little to no trade value ATM but I am willing to bet coach thinks he can make him into a very good role player.

Jaygup is toast. Cam is 18, better prospect and can take his time working his way into rotation, this position is very overloaded as it is. Trade him to any place for future 2nd.

I like KJ but if they can move him for a fair trade then now is the time. He'll never be elite but he can be serviceable as a starter on a good team. I feel like if coach wanted him he wouldn't even be rumored. Coach wants guys that ball out on defense he came from the Spurs. He's not overly impressed by a bunch of crazy dunks.

Tate is weird fit, 6.5M this year 7M next. He'll be 28. Undersized but good defender that fouls too much. Decent eFG% .541. I have heard nothing out of coach on him so my guess is he is on the block. Maybe he can be used to make numbers work at the deadline.

That leaves Eason, it was pointed out that even though he's really good defensively he may not be a guy coach relies on because he gambles so much but I tend to think he'll figure out a way to get Tari to learn how to play within his system. There might be a learning curve but I bet Eason gets floor time.

I like TyTy but he's going to have a have a hard time trying to get minutes here once we sign a vet guard so he's really going to have to improve his game. He might make a leap. Nix seems too slow and can't shoot. If we want Amen to play we have no spot for Nix and I doubt any NBA team does either.

The rest of them roster is zero interest long term.

    Amen
    Cam
    Jabari
    Eason
    Ty Ty
    Green
    Sengun
    Porter
    Vet guard
    Vet big
    Vet sharp shooter

Those 11 fight for minutes nightly. Probably 9 man rotation. Ty Ty and Cam probably on the outside waiting for a chance and maybe G-League.

NBA credentials get folks into a lot of venues. Folks aren’t going to say Josh Christopher went to the Paris fashion show, they will say did you see the NBA players at the Paris Fashion show.

I guess Josh shall basque in the NBA limelight while he’s still in the NBA. Probably easy to hook up for some serious partying too.

It seems like he cares more about flexing his pre-game outfit than he does about the game itself.

    yeah man, exactly.
I like the new rooks, they look way more serious than the Green/Christopher circus. Hopefully they stay down and focused on hoops.

This is obviously untrue. The dead giveaway is that they included Josh Christopher. Nobody would trade Josh Christopher. There isn't an executive in the league that is stupid enough to give away Josh Christopher if you have him.

GM and HC don't always see value in the same instance.

Let's hope that Stone and Udoka can see eye-to-eye when it comes to the value (monetary) versus the value (play) marrying up as they move forward.

I think they value Tate more as a defensive/veteran presence with this core over an upside 3 and (semi) D guy, with athleticism, like KJ.

Nobody wants our trash in exchange for a sought out player.
But, we may benefit from trading our trash for someone elses trash.
Most likely a guy on a bad contract.

Might be worth it if Ime thinks he can fix said player.

Only scenario where the names mentioned move the needle in a trade IMO.

We need to move on with these players. Christopher loves to shoot with no conscious, Garuba is not a center but has no handles, cannot shoot and have butter fingers, and Martin is not a elite defender or elite shooter….nice guy though

There are LOTS of teams against the Salary cap that would love to get these guys.

KJ is on the move for sure. He's due for an extension, and We have way too many guys at his position to keep him. He also wanted to be traded last year, and We should grant him his wish now.

If I'm Stone, I'm focusing on Atlanta and trying to bring back Clint. His playstyle is a contrast of Sengun's, and he won't command touches or 30+ minutes per game. A good defender and a lob threat, he can help to improve our post D and transition game. The reports mentioned ATL as being interested in Martin, so I would try and add Tate, Christopher and maybe a future asset to KJ for Capela. I like Josh, but there's simply not enough room for KPJ/JG/Amen/JC/TyTy/FA PG to get minutes at 1/2.

I would prefer to keep Garuba around. He can be a third big that can give a different look to the team, especially on D. His 3pter is progressing, and with the added shooting coaching he can make it better and more consistent. I saw a photo of him recently and he looks to be in better shape, so I'm still hopeful on him staying and developing here. I think Ime will love him.

At least you can somewhat justify Jalen doing the fashion thing. JC acts like Jalen minus the talent. It’s a really bad look when you’re getting DNP. Maybe Silas wasn’t wrong benching him.
