I went for the game today and I really enjoyed my chicken philly.... I have gotten it 6 times and the chicken consistently comes out moist and tender...
Jake's Philly Steaks and Rockets Games Thank you. We strive to only serve fresh upgraded foods, never frozen. Our chicken comes fresh, premium grade, trimmed breast. From that we make our own cuts for chicken sandwiches, tenders, Philly's, salads, etc. Same reason we now serve a blended brisket/chuck hamburger patty. Comes individually packed, vacuum sealed, never frozen. Both cost considerable more, but well worth the extra expense. As long as our recipes are followed and the meats are trimmed and prepared properly, they will taste exceptional and better than what similar type restaurants are trying to serve. We not follower's, we're doing our own thing and making it better for our customers. New menu's with additional items will be hopefully be presented in the next 4-6 weeks. Thanks, Jake's Management
Please don't change the name. I'll probably be up there tomorrow. Do y'all have the sound for CSN fixed on the patio yet?
Jake's Philly Steaks and Rockets Games Answer to two questions: 1) The Name Change: unfortunately we have to change the name because there is a Jake's in the Dallas area and because we are no longer the small sandwich shop that used to open from 11-4. We're doing it for the good, and everything will remain the same except for modest improvements and modest menu changes. The Philly Cheesesteaks will always be on the menu. For us to expand into different area's of Greater Houston and Texas, we had to create a new name, logo, .com, TM, etc. 2) No the Patio TV's are not set up for Comcast yet. Comcast put in the new box, but our wiring guy disappeared and I'm looking for a new tech. I'll have it done this week, depending on if I can find someone that knows what their doing and will do what they say. Thanks, Jake's Management

Wife and I are going tonight for the Spurs game. She's dying for another of your grilled chicken sandwiches, and I wouldn't mind catching a Rockets game. Edit: wow, already 4 ClutchFans here. Good turnout.
Jake's Philly Steaks and Rockets Games Excellent, we hope to see more of you'all for the playoff games. Also, we've had some excellent bands playing in the Patio Room. Live music every Tuesday and Friday night; usually smaller sets and acoustical on Tuesdays and bigger bands on Friday nights. Last night we had Checkered Past playing and there were fabulous. We'll have them back again soon. We will open Easter Sunday at 4:00 P.M. and have the Rockets game on that evening. Thanks, Jake's Management.
Was in town for the Clippers game not long ago and it was so good at lunch we came back that same night after the game, had some beer and played some darts. Place has changed (for the bigger and better) but the #1 still rocks just like it always did. Bartender dude was awesome. I mentioned I'd heard on clutchfans that the name was changing, and he didn't seem interested in talking about it much, but he did take good care of us and was working hard all day long. Can't wait to go back.
Jake's Philly Steaks and Rockets Games Let me see if we can answer all of your recent posts. 1) There is always a longhorn fan somewhere....owner class of '79! 2) The Clarence Riley Band is playing Friday night. If we have a bunch of Clutch Fans watching the game, we will close the Patio Room doors and the Main Room will have game sound and the Patio Room will have live music. It is going to be a packed crowd for music Friday night. So make sure you know to park in the back of Jake's and next door at Balfour. 3) Name is changing because we are trying to grow and the Jake's name is used in numerous places. Hopefully next month we will have the new name, new expanded menu, etc. in place. We're not going to change the current food, just adding a few more things like hot dogs and better deserts. Our new stores will have three rooms, 6,000 sq. ft., and the game room will have 2 lane bowling alleys. 4) Our food better be good. We've gone to extreme changes to provide the best and freshest ingredients possible. For example, our new hamburger is 50% brisket and 50% chuck, made for us in 1/2lb. patties, individually sealed fresh, never frozen. And if it's not on the menu but in the kitchen, we'll do our best to make it for you. We also are making taco's all night, just ask for them. They will be on the new menu. The Jake's Philly Taco is flour tortilla, egg, philly meat, queso and pico, and really good. We thank all of you for last night, it was fun, good crowd, just another bad game where I think the Rockets are letting themselves get pushed around and bullied and it's taken them out of the running rhythm. Thanks, Jake's Management
That's all great, I love the place. The only complaint I have is the fact that there are no specials for imports during Rockets games. $9 domestic pitchers (although it seems a little steep)? So why not $10 import pitchers? Specials like this will definitely cause me to drink, and enjoy myself, more, versus nursing 2 or 3 $4 drinks.
Came in here looking for Jake's Mgmt to try to find out which one of Clutchfans members threw a beer at the TV last night and broke it after that pathetic game last night. Spoiler
