Jake's Philly Steaks and Rockets Games For all our Clutch Fans, we have just completed installing and rewiring all of our HDTV's. We put a new 70" over the bar, put the second 80" projector on the patio, added 7 new TV's, and we now have 27 TV's for your viewing pleasure. We also installed another Comcast box yesterday evening and in a few more days we will have more TV's able to broadcast the Rockets. Our previous wiring technician had everything so complicated and spread out, we were having a tough time getting anything correctly adjusted. Over the past three days we have spent a considerable amount of money and time working on getting that problem corrected so you are able to watch and hear Rockets Games when you want and in any room you want to sit in (Main Room, Patio Room, or Patio. That entire project will be finished by mid-week. We also brought in a new General Manager from Papa's Steakhouse so more of these details are quickly solved. Wednesday we closed early due to the potential bad weather and because we have some employees that live a considerable distance away from Jake's. Is this a new thing? I never realize that you can listen to audio while watching sports game? This could be a game changer.
Jake's Philly Steaks and Rockets Games Also, regarding the sound, I am having Jake's wired so we can have music on in one room and game sound on in another room. If you'all have a group, we can close the doors to the Patio Room and you can have your own private dedicated room for Rocket's games. We also have a policy that no music is to be played during games. Sometimes we ask our patrons whether they want music or game sound and they don't mind either way, but I assure you, if you want Rocket Game sound on, you will get Rocket Game sound....and that policy is being re-addressed immediately today, thank you, Jake's Management.
Jake's Philly Steaks and Rockets Games Memo just sent to all Jake's Employees and Management: We’re getting hammered by the Clutch Fans and Rockets fan base because of too much music being played and no Rocket’s game sound. We have been posting back and forth all morning that we will have sound on for all Rocket’s games if they have a crowd and they want game sound instead of music. Please make sure we have Rocket Game sound on for our Clutch Fans if that’s what they want and make sure everyone knows how to adjust music and TV sound accordingly. Sounds like this would be the ideal place to have a Clutchfans playoff watch party. Wish I lived closer so I could go more often.
Jake's Philly Steaks and Rockets Games We are probably the only Sports Bar in town where we can have music or game sound in three different areas that can all be separated from each other (without the use of an ear box); the Main Dining Room that seats +/- 90; the new Patio Room that seats +/- 40 with a stage, Golden Tee Golf and Bowling, and 4 Dart boards; and the new covered Patio that seats 16 comfortably, has 80" projection TV's on each wall, where you can eat, drink, and/or smoke if that's preferred. We've just recently completed our expansion and we now have over 4,300 sq. ft. of dining and drinking. Live music is coming soon, but we'll plan it around Rocket Games. Thank you, Jake's Management

Also, Rockets Alert!!! Stop in to Jakes tonight for Rockets and Beer. Rockets tip off - 7pm vs. Timberwolves. During All Rockets Games enjoy Dom Pitchers for only $9.00 and Dom Buckets for only $13.00 Also, we added some new beers; Founders All Day IPA, Victory Golden Monkey, Buffalo Bayou Brown Buffalo Rye'd (a new blend for them on draft, hint of raisins and cinnamon, dark and good, came in Friday), St. Arnold's Spring Bock, and Texian First Stand on draft.
