Jake's Philly Steaks and Rockets Games Somebody was asking about pics of the new room....if you go to www.jakesphillys.com and our Facebook page, we just posted some new pictures of the new room. Not quite finished yet, still have to build the live music stage, add in a few more HDTV's, one more outside 80" projector and screen and clean up the Sound/Direct TV/Comcast broadcasts individually to more TV's and rooms and we'll be done with that project. I went the other night during the game. Not sure if the bartender was just busy but he was rude as hell. No personality and almost insulting at times. Im not one to usually complain or put people on blast but my whole group agreed. There used to be one guy there last year who was really badass. Shorter guy- cant think of his name. Other than that, the place looks great. Just my feedback.
Warning! They switched the #3 and #4. Probably a good idea, it didn't make sense the way Robbie had it. I keep ordering the wrong one... The new room looks great. Can't wait to play the stage when they get it done.

It looks like you guys are hosting the Houston Amputee Society on Thursday night. My girl is a part of the group so we may attend.
Went for the Spurs game Saturday and it was the first time i was annoyed at jakes. One thing that is REALLY annoying is not being able to watch the game with the sound on! They had the A&M game on most screens and they chose to put that game over the speakers. Only thing is, 90% of the folks there were watching the Rockets game, and that was eventide by the loud cheers throughout the game. Not only that, the speakers were barely even turned up. I just hate not being able to really get into the game because thre's no freakin sound!
I was there as well. I wished we could have heard what was going on but great to see some rockets fans out there.
Why not just ask them to put the sound on for you. If there were more Rox than Aggie fans I don't see why this would be a problem.
Staff was crazy busy. As I mentioned they had the Aggies game on the speakers as well. If you're in tune with what's going on you really shouldn't have to ask but like I said they were stacked so I didn't bother.
Jake's Philly Steaks and Rockets Games We apologize. The new TV's and addition were being wired two weeks ago and the contractor never finished the job until yesterday. We're rigging up so you can have each room with Direct TV or with Comcast with dedicated audio. They should have switched the sound for you, but after yesterday it is complete for now and we can get the audio and visual where and when you want it. We are also making sure all of our staff know how to use the electronics and if they cannot, they have a number to call to fix any problem. I was not very pleased when I heard of this and we will do our best to not have it happen again. That's why we added all of the new Yamaha speakers so when we have large crowds, we can turn it up and you can hear it. FYI, Thursday evening the 5th through Sunday evening the 8th, the Annual Power Events Golden Tee Golf Tournament and player of the year finals will be held a Jake's. The Golf Channel will be filming a few of the days. We have +/- 96 players signed up at this time to play. Hence, for games through Sunday eve. we are going to be pretty packed. There will be 20 Golden Tee games scattered throughout both rooms. Thanks, Jake's.

I went to Jakes the other day to watch a Rockets game it sucked they had the Rockets sound off and only had music playing instead.
