Hopefully the knife fighters (Francis, James and Wells) bickering and fighting will rub off alittle on the milk drinkers (T-Mac and Yao). Music to my ears.
Say that!! we needed HEART and FIRE! People get complacent. Even Tracy can see TOO NONCHALANT at times Someone needs to be in there GRINDING Seriously. . . Rafer maybe better this year. .you know why cause there are THREE PEOPLE TRYING TO RUN HIS *SS OUT OF TOWN Last year he knew Pappa JVG was gonna let him start no matter what and he just f*cked up time and again . . oops . .my bad. . no worries HE WORRYING NOW!! You got guys who want those minutes and AIN'T AFRAID TO FIGHT FOR THEM!! When they get in the game . .. THEY GONNA SHOVE THA BALL DOWN SOME THROATS !!!! So they WON'T Go back to the bench WHEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BRING ON THE SEASON! Rocket River Milk Drinkers. . .*chuckle* . . .i like that
Wow, real classy to call someone dumb and rip them because you disagree with them. Grow up. He never said it was good for players to punch and kick each other he's saying it's good for the players to be competitive with each other.
We all wanted a team that cared, shows emotion, and it are tough. I believe these roster has some good qualities that are also very rough at the edges. I can't wait for season to get going.
Heated practices The Rockets have gone so long between games, competing instead against one another, they have begun to develop a rivalry between the team in white and team in black. "We've got guys going at each other, a couple fights, couple arguments," Tracy McGrady said. "That was what I expected." McGrady would not elaborate on whether fights became physical or remained verbal. But players said the games have been taken as seriously as real games. "It gets very heated," Mike James said. "We're not playing out there. It's not a joke." What we can conclude from this They've had heated intense practices. They developed a rivalry white vs black team They're going at eachother but we don't know if it's just the trash talking or trash talking and physical play, but Tmac seemed to have hinted at it being both, but nothing so serious that it means trouble in the land. All in all it seems they are competing, they want to play, they want to win, they aren't trying to injure eachother before the season starts. These guys are showing eachother the emotion and the desire alot of us was screaming about wanting last year and are now shaking because of. I think all of you scaredy cats needs to stay away from the bbs this season.
hold that fury to composure till someone like Mason comes up.......and beat him to hospital Personally, I like this hearted-up.....being soft no more
Is anyone suprised by the fact that it's getting intense? 4 of these guys out there won't have a job by the end of the week and several more won't have any minutes. Imagine if that's you out there thinking your career on the line.
Well, it seems like our team dominates whenever the milk drinkers are in there and the supposed knife fighters never showed up in game 7 against Dallas. I think the team is starting to discover how good they can be with the addition of much more talented and athletic guys to our team. The reports of "fighting" are pretty vague. Competing hard and intense is great. Playing physical and givinng no easy shots is awesome. It's when the fights are a result of individual agendas a la Terrell Owens with the Eagles is when it gets to be a problem. I would really like to know who the fights were between and what nature it is. If it's between the end of the bench guys like Harris, Landry, Snyder, etc....then no big deal. But, if its between our stars and main rotation guys..... and if its resulting from individual agendas rather than just wanting to compete hard...well, then I hope the coaching staff puts a lid on it immediately and get them to focus on a team.
Well there is alot of quarrels/bickerings/arguing, BUT not necessarily fighting. This is so evident in the following Wang Meng article describing the intensity and competitiveness of the Houston Rockets players during the scrimmage....Yao Ming got numerous new scratches on his arm; Bonzi Wells got his head injured by Jackie Butler and Aaron Brooks complaint about being elbowed by Deke Mutombo. IMHO, those are good signs for team chemistry and quicker gelling into Rick Adelman's new systems.
I think it's good because the intensity gets kicked up a notch. There will be a more competitve drive. Long as they don't go into the weight room, and throw free weights at each other.
Mebbe this will get Francis to start watching more game films of himself to figure out where he needs to cut and where to run to on the court. The faster he gets it, the better off we are. Competition is good, brings out the best in all of em.
I like the depiction in Pryuen's article than the earlier reports of the vague term "fights." Competition is also fiercer this year because we have some serious ballers with talent on this team in the supporting cast. In previous years, it was kind of lopsided between the starters unit and the second unit. This year we can field two units that can flat out score.
that resulted in a championship. Carl Herrera and Vernon were pals after that incident. And did you notice how tough Carl was against the Knicks? If he can take flying dumbbells, Patrick Ewing was just a marshmallow.
No. That line from the movie Dodge Ball just came to mind when the Herrerra being thrown a dumbbell incident was mentioned.
