You can probably take some sort of "official Lord of the Rings Tour" when you get to N.Z. But from Channelview, Brown Lung Capital of the World, to Alaska? What a change of pace that must have been. BORN October 4, 1968 in Hermann Hospital, Houston, TX. Have probably lived half my life in Texas (Mom's side of the family) and the other half in Iowa (Dad's side of the family), with the exception of four years in Sicily when I was in the Navy (land-locked sailor at U.S. Naval Station Sigonella; and yes, I would go back to Sicily in a heartbeat).
Born in Houston, four years at NYU, then back to Houston to start Houston's coolest theater company. For those who hang out at the BBS Hangout, you might remember we're the ones who skewered the Jazz in a show two years ago. We're all huge Rockets fans and have been known to delay performances due to Rocket playoff games.
Lived- I am a professor of Mathematics and my primary areas of research are Functional Analysis and Partial Differential Equations.
Did your theater company used to do shows at Commerce Street and Feagan st. art spaces? I saw Waiting for Godot and a couple of other plays that were really great.
Yeah Elvis, that was us. Glad you liked them. I directed the Godot at Zocalo on Feagan. (Another group did the Godot at Commerce.) We probably did about twenty shows at those two spaces, a few years back. We have our own space now. It used to be the old punk rock club the Axiom. Next show opens July 19. Go to the website below for info. If you make it out to the theater, introduce yourself. Heypartner and RockHEAD have been known to stop in from time to time, too. p.s. I love your new album.
