I'm pretty sure a lot of fans appreciate the fact that our GM actually takes their thoughts and ideas into consideration.

Can't say that about many owners or GMs.

Jerome is trash.

I don't have any problem with all the rah rah Bosh stuff, but I don't think it's going to make any difference. As mentioned, it's going to be about the money, and about his team's chance at contending for the title.

 

I see Morey's attempt to be totally about marketing. Not only does this keep the fans engaged, but if/when the Rockets don't acquire Bosh, fans have less reason to say that they did not try everything thing they could to get him.

Really, how is this different then having fans getting autographs, or even that season ticket deal? It's all marketing, keeping the fans interested.

I personally don't have a big desire to acquire Bosh, but I see this whole Bosh campaign as a positive.

 

Um, not to defend Solomon or anything - because he's a dolt...

But you all do know this was not an article, right? It was his blog. He can pretty much state whatever opinion he wants in a blog. I won't rip someone for their opinion in a blog just because they're paid by someone to write articles as a professional there, too. That doesn't make him a douche.

There are many other things that make him a douche.

 

He is just not with the new wave of fan interaction.

In the old days, what the Rockets are asking fans to do would have been considered tacky......

I can understand where he is coming from.....but this is the new way of marketing, getting fans involved, engaging with your audience.

No need to get your news from the paper......you get it online....INSTANTLY.

Oh come on! This whole idea is silly and reeks of Rockets PR and Rocketsheep desperation. As if Bosh would ignore getting the most dollars he can or toss away his chance of going to a team with a LEGITIMATE chance of winning to instead come to this place simply because the Houston fans begged him to do so. I'm a big rockets fan and always will be through the the ugly the bad and the good. Me being a fan will do anything it takes to make this team better, even if that does mean that I have to go "Begging" to a superstar. That's nothing compared to what the GMs will be doing this summer trying to lure FAs to their city. It just shows that we as Fans the rockets which we call OUR team, shows we will do anything for OUR team, Morey has given us great players, the least we could do is give him a little bit of help to try and Recruit a player that we will support cuz we are HARDCORE fans that are willing to do anything for OUR team.

Pretty much. I like how he said we missed on gortat,lol.He showed up with the worse offer which is even funnier. They got the injury exception and used it on trevor and used part of the mle on andersen.

 

Of course it does, it is 100% marketing, but being that Bosh does this stuff too....then why not?

What Solomon is lacking is a sense of humor.
