Cato13 got the batphone call, too. Another sign that R0ckets03's loud ranting in his seat scares people away. Cato13, Are you seriously going to request they drop the J Rocket act. lol! Maybe we can at least tell him to drop the V-neck sweaters. Behad, I'll have to tell her you called her a "lady." She'll get a kick out of that. I think she needs to hang out with your wife more often...so some of your wife would rub off of her...that would be cool. Having met Behad and his family in person, I can say he's the coolest dad in the world. Although, I think having your high-tech computer next to your living room picture window is about the creepiest thing I've ever scene in suburbia, in a Mrs Kravitz kinda way. Stevie Francis: you'll have your opportunity this year to meet a lot of people.
LOL...had to think for a minute to remember who Mrs. Kravitz was. I get a good view from that window!
I've been wonderin that myself... What's the deal with jammie, heypee?? Was he the guy with ya at the game I met you at? Congrats Jeff....I actually wondered why you didnt get the call when I first read this thread...Im glad your in on it...Represent man!!
jamcracker works in a confederacy of dunces, goes to every Rockets games, tapes every Simpsons and Sopranos, eats out every night, owns a Playstation 2 with top of the line driving kit, and plays Battlefied 1942 to the point of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. He's a very busy man. yeah, that was him Rockets2K
Behad, that's not really true. It's not his last posting, either. He's a lurker and a chatroom participant at some away games, and an absolutely huge fan at games....owns several Rox jersey's and jackets and eats dinner at all rox games...he's Les's dream fan.
Behad, in the words of Achebe slamming me...you're a dork. "He's never been the same since." Who?...a moniker or a game-going fan? Isn't this a thread about the real life of all of us fans and what we can do to help the Rockets learn more about us. Or should we be discussing what the virtual cc.net Sergeant of Arms idea is on how to treat newbies? Maybe we should start a CC.NET Fan Council!! LOL!
Oh NO!! Secret *clique* communications! anyway, that was an interesting read, how da hell did I miss that one..? Oh well... later
hey Rockets2K, didn't you have a friend with you at the Barkley game? Is he coming with to the Seattle game?
yea...I think K came with me (the dude with reeal long hair)..I ve been to a few different games with different friends , so Im not sure which was which...LOL. and Im not sure...he's a bit strapped for cash, and so am I ..so its gonna be a crap shoot.. btw..didya get the check? I was told the day of that Mrs 2k's secretary didnt get it in the mail till that Monday. I was concerned it wouldnt get there in time..
i wish u had posted the picture we took with rudy T at pf changs. then everyone would know who looks like a hunk and who looks like an ass
It's good to know that I don't read posts for a while and then when I do my name is in the thread about 5 times. As far as loud fan goes: 03 is loud but not all the time. Towards the end of the season he was tanking it just like the Rockets. But he will say some crazy stuff. Me and his brother dare him sometimes to say crazy things just to see if he'll do it. But there was this one fan when me and my friend got moved down as Power fans right behind the Rox bench. He was about 4th row during the Cleveland game. He had everyone rolling because not only was he loud but he was really funny. He cracked on Zydrunas Igaulskas when he was at the free throw line and said INS should be asking him if he had a green card! If INS wasn't at his locker after the game then that's only because they weren't anywhere in the arena.
I already admitted that I wasn't that loud last year. It was depressing watching Rocket games most of the time. Of course I was a tanker towards the end of the season. Can you say "Ming"? It was well worth it to be a tanker. This year I promise it will be different!
I have only senior citizens sitting next to me. I am actually proud whenever I am able to move them with my ranting.
You guys are pretty much on your money with the comments about the Rockets Fan Council. We'd like to get to the point where we could eventually be known as the most fan friendly organization in the sport. That's a pretty lofty goal -- and there's some teams out there who do it very well, so who knows if we'll ever get there -- but if we keep doing things that move us closer to that goal, we'll be a great organization. The increased number of $10 and $13 tickets, the mini-packs we're selling right now, the billboards to some extent, and now the Fan Council, are all steps to that goal. More steps will be coming. We have a great fan base already; we're just trying to build off of that. Can't be fan friendly unless you know what fans are saying, right? As for the makeup of the Fan Council -- we just tried to get a good cross-section of fans. If somebody wants to claim that heypartner isn't representative, that's fine. Our fan base is pretty diverse, and our goal was to make the Council as a whole as representative as possible. Does heypartner bring a point-of-view we want to include? Sure. As does Jeff and everybody else that has been invited. As for topics, we'll certainly come to the Council with some specific issues we want feedback on. But part of the purpose of bringing the Council together was to have them bring up issues as well -- things we might not be aware of or things that we may not have thought are as high priority as they really are. And for all those who would love to be on the Council (I've gotten your e-mails, trust me) ... (1) I'll consider them all, but I hope you understand that we have to keep the Council reasonably sized if it's going to be effective, (2) please use the cc.net members here that you know to get issues to the Fan Council, and (3) I'm willing to have "Not Really the Official Fan Council" Gatherings after work at any friendly neighborhood watering hole if cc.net posters get organized and set a date and time. We want to make sure you feel like you have a voice. That's really what "Be Part of Something Big" is all about. All starting to fit together now, eh?
