Once again we were absolutely exposed due to having an undersized player cover some no name Bynes character and then the final shot by Horford over the undersized Black. Add to that the red carpet layup by Smart due to no big man presence in the middle. We got dominated by the OKC center as well. I got vilified for creating this post when we were 25-4, maybe now some of you will see that I know what I am talking about!!!
and we still could have won those games Losses Celtics by 1 OKC by 5 Clippers by 10 Lakers by 8 It took a corrupt official to beat us in Boston it took several corrupt officials to beat us in LA The Rockets have a small margin for error when CP3/Clint and Luc are out The Refs can erase that margin at will and just hand the games to the other team. Rocket River
Or maybe not playing without the best pure pg in the game, a top 5 center and our best individual defender is really hard to overcome? No you're right it definitely means we're terrible. smh
Just a reminder guys, I’m personally not freaking out over a 4 game losing streak. There’s injuries but the Celtics also have injuries. A 26 point lead is still too big a lead to let up and as a supposed contender this isn’t acceptable. Go look at any basketball page on fb or ig talking about the game, the rockets are getting laughed at so hard and Harden is proving people’s points so easily. It does not matter that this is cp3 first year here.... if this type of stuff happens in the playoffs and Harden looks like a moron then no one will believe in him ever again no matter how hot they are in the season. It’s looking like the only way to be taken seriously is at least wcf in one of the hardest game 7’s ever..
Also if harden melts down in the playoffs Paul won’t sign here. Or demand a sign and trade. Choking a 26 point lead is not acceptable. Even if the refs blew it the game should have never been close. Tonight will tell the tale. If we come out and fight and win or lose but look good losing then ok. If we get destroyed by 40 like we did in San Antonio game 6 then I will be really concerned that we have a huge, albeit talented, max contract albatross around our neck. True leaders / superstars will command a win tonight.
We're not exposed. The sky is falling, the sky is falling....total BS. We're missing CC and CP3. A HOF PG, one of the best to ever lace em up....and in CC, a guy that is turning into an All star. Chris is just as important to this team as the Beard is...HE is the leader, with plenty of tire on the tread. Late in games, he will always steady us and get that push going when we need it. CC is a defensive force with a game growing by the day. We'll get everyone together and be fine...CONTENDERS at the end of the year. Don't forget buyouts/ring chasers for the minimum. In the meantime buck up, and remember what we really have here. Quit b****ing about short term minutiae that means nada! ...and we shouldn't forget Luc, also......not by a longshot.
"Guys, I have a plan to beat the Rockets... wait until they lose 3 of their top 8 guys to injury and then play them."
Exactly........can hear those two b****ing about how we would’ve done well in the playoffs if we just had CP3 (just like Clippers fans have been saying for the past 5 years). Plowman is the short sighted one saying no worries for the playoffs, but that is the attitude that killed this team last year when we were stuck playing Ryno and Harden on Aldridge and them getting worn out by working their arses off to defend centers and trying to get elusive rebounds. Lack of height and failure to address the issue will surely doom this squad as well!!!
All there is to do now is pay attention to James and see how he reacts from here on. If he continues to try and push the issue by forcing the refs to make calls he will not win...
Again, again, again we get our arses handed to us on the boards tonight. I am convinced we cannot be successful with Ryno playing center. At one point we had Gordon playing center tonight. Scary that most people on this board have zero concerns that we have no rebounding on this team other than the toothpick Capela. Enjoy watching Golden State take on San Antonio again in the playoffs. Typical Houston fan on this board will spend the offseason blaming this year’s playoff elimination on the refs.
Seriously, quit overreacting... When healthy this team is fantastic. With injuries to key guys, we are lacking. What does that say? The same thing it says about any great team. That injuries usually hinders a team’s performance. If getting exposed means sucking when injured then by that definition the Rockets have been exposed. But come on, how many teams would be good if they were missing their second and third best players and arguably their most versatile defender off the bench? To me being exposed would be if the team was fully healthy and still losing. Theres a silver lining here. We have a good sample of games to have confidence in this team’s ability when healthy. That said, If this team is injury prone, then we might very well be legitimately exposed. Keep in mind though, Morey did up the risk profile of the team and we all knew from the get go that getting injured could very well turn out to be a major downside of the cards Morey played in signing CP3. At this point we just have to hope that we are healthy when it matters.
