Worst part is Capela's backup is Nene and we can't even play him heavy minutes or every game otherwise he'd get injured. Also, his signs of aging really showed in this game, he was having trouble getting up and didn't bother contesting a lot of shots. Probably the result of playing consecutive games. D'antoni really needs to whip Tarik Black into shape because he looks lost out there right now.
So rockets are "exposed" by playing worse when rotation members are injured? Lol. Ok man honestly your threads are always dumb as **** and you should never make one again.
we're going to be fine. we played a bigger and more athletic team today, had matchup problems all over the place aside from Capela sitting out. we do need a backup C, i don't know why MDA + Moray have not prioritized that. Nene is solid, but Anderson and Tarik is not gonna cut it when they come up short.
I don't care if we lose a few more but 7 man rotations have to go. We gonna have no team left or running on fumes in playoffs.
We got killed on the offensive glass last night. However in the games Clint plays we collect something like 80 percent of the defensive boards. It’s those little things. Altering shots, when he makes his rim runs off the pick and roll he also sucks in a defender which usually means you can’t double harden Off the dribble.
Well when your 3rd best player doesn't play and e happens to be your center and rim protector/rebounder, you'll get beat up down low like we did. I hope this shows some of the dummies that Clint really is a very good defensive center and rim protector. His offense was needed also but not as much as his defense. Also having cp3 go out in the 4th when the game was either tied or we had the lead didn't help. We won 14 in a row and 20/21. In sure we're about to win another 7 or 8 games out of our next 10. As long as harden and Capela are playing I like our chances against anyone but golden state we need cp3 at full strength as well as luc.
i'm not against trading for a more athletic third string centre, or even a back up one. Just not sure about Nene who is slower than last season
Capela's injury is that left heel again. It may be a lingering problem. Tarik can't do much out there, but he needs to be mentally ready as the starter, and do the best he can. The Rockets need DJ to agree to a buyout. Another choice would be to try and get NN from Dallas for a future lottery protected 1st rounder. And then hope to get Joe Johnson with a buyout. I wouldn't mind getting Augustin for a couple of 2nd rounders, to give CP3 a real backup either.
Lakers played out of their minds. It seems they played as well as they possibly could and Rockets were still within striking distance, until the ran out of gas. Rockets have the bulls eye as the top team in the NBA, this is to be expected. Every team they play will be extra motivated to prove they can beat the Rockets. But they did play a good game, it just wasn’t a positive result in terms of winning.
