Yeah Green is a great fit. Again, I recognize that he isn't an all-star, but he would help a lot of weaknesses. I'd pursue him even if they weren't going to throw in Temple.

 

I'm hoping this deal happens. Morey can't be that much of an idiot of not bringing help for James Harden. The Rockets are on winning mode now, not for next year. James Harden and Chris Paul are not getting younger. Is build around James Harden now or bust. This deal with the Grizzlies will boost the Rockets depth will make the Rockets better. Come on Morey don't be an idiot.

The Grizzlies and Rockets have also discussed a trade involving point guard Brandon Knight and Marquese Chriss, according to league sources. Houston has been trying to dump Knight’s salary, which is on the books for $15.6 million next season, and will attach a first-round pick to get it done. It’s expected that Memphis would send JaMychal Green and Garrett Temple to the Rockets. The fate of Conley and Gasol comes first, though.

We would get 2 playable pieces back. I really like Green. 6'9 7'2 wingspan 39% 3pt. and 28.

 

I would guess there would be a follow up move.

 

For a first round pick (+Knight), as reported, it’s a no-brainer.

 

LIKED....I'M SAYING HE NEEDS TO REPLACE PJ! PJ is a bench player. Though as HELL but he needs to be on the bench

 

I wonder how much standing out at the three point line jacking threes affects Tucker's rebounding rate. If Green were here, I don't know if he'd stay near 13th in PF efficiency for that stat, but there's no denying, especially after we get de-pantsed against Jahlil Okafor: we are one short team, and the midget frontcourt thing is going to hurt us.

 

PJ is perfect to start at the 4 alongside Clint. Green will be the perfect backup 4.

 

Conley and Gasol need to hurry up and get traded so we can get some resolution on this. It's Wednesday....things are heating up.

 

Temple has fallen off a bit since he peaked in 2016-2017 but he could possibly make our rotation. I'll take that for a trade throw-in.

 

Danuel House is more promising than most of these options out there. So, we better keep him long-term. Pick up JaMychal Green, and I guess that's the best you can ask for at this point.

 

I'd happily start PJ at SF and Jaja at PF, because our forward spots are interchangable on offense and PJ is by far our best SF defender... That's just me.

 

Starting House and Green at the 3 and 4 would help us tremendously. We need more size and rebounding. Tucker has not deserved his starting role this year.

Not really. The Rockets can match salaries for J. Green without attaching Knight’s salary and wasting a first round pick. This, just like the Burks move, is a salary dump under the guise of “improvement.”
