It would have been alot easier to get Roy, if our starters got more rest in the Timberwolves game.

Did JVG really need to play Juwan Howard all them minutes, while he was hot?
Wouldn't the Rockets have been off getting Brandon Roy by developing Swift and Hayes in that game. They weren't going to make the playoffs.

So you don't understand the meaning of this  , yet your commenting on Morey's qualifications?

Seriously, change your handle because I can't stand you Brad Jordan's stage name through the mud like this, even though he is already retired.

First we were doomed to be really bad, i.e. not to win 13 games all season.
Now we are doomed to be average?

I guess people are slowly coming around.

Should we win the championship this year, I'll wait for the thread, "This sucks, we're doomed. Were doomed, no way we could win it back to back again."

You are a moron. The A's are a baseball team - no salary cap which completely alters the equation. You should be judging based on performance per dollar vs. the maximum dollars spent.

The Rockets have $40M *not playing* this year (this is the vast majority of the cap) and have put forward a winning team. Our performance per 'utilized' dollar is off the charts.

Actually if we were really bad this year, it could be a blessing in disguise.

Being average is a bad situation in a draft system. Some teams have been stuck at being average for a long time.

Idiot..u missed the point. Morey is playing "moneyball" with McGrady. They want insurance to pay his salary. It doesnt make since for the Rockets NOT to play him when he is coming off the books. You are not winning a championship this year, why take on BAD contracts for longer years...just to get rid of mcgrady? Stupid.

Get off your knees and stop sucking Morey's knob. Morey hasn't done anything......yet. Many GMs get better players and cheap prices. 1 playoff series win doesn't mean SQUAT.

They have a better chance with McGrady...than relying on that chucker ARIZA.

Making a playoff/50-win team with 45 million in cap space being wasted is not doing squat? Hahahahaha. Oh wait, you're probably going to into some WAAAHHH on how Morey hasn't used our former All-Star so he sux or something like that.
And care to list these awesome GMs and their better cheap players?

Where the **** did you get that Morey doesn't want superstars? Our two stars are injured and the 2010 free agency hasn't even arrived yet. The only reason why we are playing without stars is the circumstances that ended that way.

.500 is average. The rockets are above .500, so they are above average.

everyone expects us to be instant contenders when yao returns, and why shouldn't we be? we are avg 100 pts a game without yao, we will be fine next year, health is the only thing that will hold us back

Wrong. The insurance was if McGrady was injured and unable to play. Once he was able to play in a game, the payments stopped. The Rockets don't gain financially by not playing McGrady.

I'm still waiting for you to tell me what bad contracts we're taking on? So basicaly you don't know if McGrady will be traded. If he is traded, you don't know where he'll go or what we'll get in return. Yet you hate the deal. Based on those hard facts, I can see why you hate the deal. A very compelling argument.

It would have been a blessing to not win 13 games.

It would guarantee a top 10 draft pick. Even if we had the 7th worst record and 3 teams below us won the lottery, we would drop to 10th.

When 16 of 30 teams make the playoffs...and you are 6th, 7th or 8th (where the Rockets will finish)....YOU ARE AVERAGE.
