TEASER: I have more particulars on the D-Mo contract. Will try to write it up as a "cap update" when I get a chance.

Trying to get Clutch his clicks!

ICYMI @BimaThug .... He apparently got a very easy cool $1m/yr incentives

Sounds like free money. But I assume this is to determine if they should cut him after the season, too.

Damn! Morey outdoes himself again! Who knew D-Mo would give up the troublesome March 1 deadline for some bonuses? This makes what WAS an unusually team-friendly contract a much MORE team-friendly contract. And D-Mo is happy and back.

I've always been a huge Morey fan, going way back before we became friends, but I really think with what he's done this offseason... He HAS to be in the mix for executive of the year. He is at the top of his game. Let's hope D-Mo is soon too.

I agree. Plus, I think Bobby Marks would have count that, too, since he actually got a copy of the Offer Sheet.

I mainly wrote that to show how well defined Principal Terms are by the Offer Sheet. It's all right there, and you are supposed to include it "separately" for the ROFR Team it's own Exhibit. Thus, like you say, the league would have count it, Bobby Marks would have...it all points to JB simply might than have known the Rules.

You must be joking. The team has opt-outs right where they want them in each year of this contract. Trading those for a few mil in bonuses was a major win for the front office.

BJ may have less confidence in DMo than most do and is trying to get extra few dollars now...

I love that, since they didn't "match" the Nets offer, they can trade him to the Nets (if they wanted to) a lot sooner than a year. Only this time the Nets have to give something up. We won't lose him for nothing huh @basketballholic. I originally said this would be a #winwin. But this seemed to pan our better than anyone imagined.

He can't be traded till after end of the season. He is here till summer no matter what medical condition he is in.

Don't forget that Rubio is a WINNER and a championship playmaker despite Harden taking his team farther with arguably inferior talent. :p

Unfortunately I don't think we can trade him to Brooklyn. I think we had to put him back into rfa and then sign him. That means he can't be traded to the Nets for a year.
