Cato can be a good center, but not one of the top 5 in the NBA. He was third string on the Trail Blazers. Second stringer on the Rockets, so right now he is in the top five in a league consisting of two teams.

Wake up guys, Cato is not that good. We just hope he becomes solid this year. Remember last year, didn't he lose his starting job to Pig or someone equally sorry.

Don't get me wrong, Cato is not that bad. He may even deserve the millions he is going to make considering how much all these FA signed for this year. The only thing Cato has going for him is athletism, but he got no skills. He has no shot except a dunk off a Franchise dish and he misses that sometimes also.

I just hope he becomes 60 percent the player Dream was in his prime, which is (27 points, 13 rebounds, 4 blocks, 2.5 steals, 3.5 assist)*.60= 16 points 8 rebounds 2.5 blocks and 2.5 assists and plays great defense 60 percent of the time.

I would be happy with a 60 percent hakeem. Lets hope hakeem is 60 percent this year because I doubt Cato will do it.

What if Gmanqnobs does not really play in the NBA?? What if he put all that info out there to see who would bite on it?
If so he is getting one good laugh out of this thread. [IMG]

First off this is the best fan board on the net. No question. If your going to make a site you should hire clutch as a consultant.

Things that need to happen for the ROCKETS to definitly make the playoffs:
*Hakeem stay healthy, and contribute 25 good minites a game.
    *Get MO
*Have walt play the way he did the last 3rd of the season.
*Steve to just on explode on the league like every one on this board is expecting.
*Get some good bench production from some one other than Mobley.
*Cato to continue to develop (really he just needs to keep his head in the game and develop just one go to move.)

If and it's a big if, all these things happen we definitly make the playoffs. If only some of these things happen (which is more likely ) we still have chance.

    Thanks for dropping by.

As easy as it is for us to check his profile and the profile on the Lakers' site, it's just as easy for a prankster. That said, if you were a millionaire basketball player and wanted to start a cool web site that's going to compete with existing web sites for visitors, would you be doing the research yourself? Wouldn't you put out a RFP instead and save yourself the time and trouble?

I would, but then again, I'm not a millionaire basketball player.

Not if you were genuinely interested in this website as a project, not just an investment.

It's not Brian Shaw. A guy who gets cut by the Rockets before training camp even starts will not consider the Rockets classy.

He knew all along that we were not interested in him in a trade. He had to be thrown in for salary cap reasons only. It would be stupid for a player to hold a grudge over something as silly as that. That happens all the time. Players are many times thrown into deals as salary cap fillers- it's a part of the business. Many times they get cut too. And they don't hold grudges against those respective teams.

If I'm correct Brian Shaw was actually sign-and-traded in the Pippen deal, and in agreeing said he was happy to be headed to Houston and hoped to help out. Doesn't sound to me like a guy planning on being immediately cut.
