Certainly something I didn't expect, I was impressed and he would certainly be a great role player to have on our team. I hope we can still keep him for cheaper, but loyalty isn't something to expect from somebody who's only been here for half a season.
I hope we get him back with the Tax Payers minimum at the end of the summer. He was amazing in that OKC series.
No surprises here. Good series Cisco, hope you're available on the cheap for us but also secretly hope you get overpaid by someone else for your hard work on Durant (and I mean that in the nicest way possible).
For the wording of the tweet, it's hard to tell if the Rockets have actually officially filed some paperwork to formally decline the option or if Berman is saying something that has been obvious to us since we traded for the guy. I kinda suspect it's the latter, especially since the NBA Transactions log doesn't have it. In which case, I give Berman one star. Given Morey's MO, I don't think he will actually decline the option until the last day, which I understand to be 6/30. Though it's hard to fathom any scenario in which he'd want to change his mind.
Expected move. I would have thought his contract would be kept as long as possible as a trade asset. Would be nice to re-sign him at a better price tag.
Who else has a similar SF skillset that we can sign ? .... Mike Dunleavy Jr., Matt Barnes, Andrei Kirilenko, Danny Green, Andre Igoudala, and our D-League products Glenn Rice Jr. and D.J. Kennedy. Anybody else ?
Really liked his attitude and play. They'll be missed. But the move is absolutely understandable. Good Luck, Mr. Garcia.
He's been a much better player since he sold his soul to the devil. Would like him back at the end of the summer if possible
Brooks and Delfino would actually be much bigger news. Declining both means we feel good about signing one of our top targets, regardless of who that happens to be.
I respect Garcia a lot, this had to be done. Delfino worked hard too,but DM needs to decline the team option on him as well.
