Yes, everyone has a right to drag their brats to games, just like everyone has a right to drink too much or curse. But just because someone has a legal right to do something, doesn't necessarily make it the right thing to do. Being rude to others is never right. Honestly, I think I'm being misunderstood here. Children that are mature enough to consistently follow a game are okay by me. When I catch a tshirt or a foul ball, it automatically goes to the nearest kid who's been well-behaved. I think it's neat when children keep a score card or ask questions about a play. That being said, there is still a very large group of parents who bring kids to games that are too young to appreciate sports. As a result, the kids lose interest and start causing problems. And parents who are negligent enough to put kids in such a situation to begin with are usually negligent enough to ignore all but the most blatant of their children's offenses. Before you take your kid to a game, I suggest watching a game at home with him first. If he loses interest before half the game is over, you can expect him to do the same at the arena. If that's the case and you still want to bring him, please be aware that you'll need to divide your time between the game and controlling him. Or you can just be rude because, hey, that's your right. Think of how your kid will grow up with a role model like that.
I know Jessica, the Power dancer in the blue bathing suit from page 1 of this thread. She is a skank and a half. She used to be a Houston Texans cheerleader... she was kicked off the sqaud 4 games into the inagurral season for getting a DUI and trying to seduce the officer into letting her go. Needless to say it didn't work and the Texans gave her the boot! When I saw she had become a Power dancer, I lost a lot of respect for the Rockets. How could they not perform a background check? The sad thing is, I heard they knew about the incident and chose to ignore it.
Eh, my ex-gf is trying out. I hope she makes it. She's definitely a better dancer and I'd say better looking than most of the current ones. I never thought it'd be a good thing to have an ex-gf at all my favorite team's games, but eh, that's what makes life so incredibly hilarious.
Haha, and a "Hush" fell over the crowd. Are we going for the same huynner, er winner? That'd be a hoot.
Wow! She reminds me of my mother...SHE was always able to get the officer to "see her side of things". They tell me she was really something to see back in the day...
Laen21, that is sad to hear. I hope that story isnt true. I met her back in January at the Knicks/Rockets viewing party and she was a sweetheart to my friends and I. Even at the games I went to and saw her after that, she would always say hi to me and treated me nice with respect in which I can't say that to all of them. As you can see through the link below, she always was up for a picture with me.
Yes, Nintendo Gamecube and N64 are the greatest examples of this. Anyways, it's all good with me unless they start making them wear sweatpants or jackets. Just don't mess with the unis and I'm fine.
I got news for you...my wife loses interest before half the game is over when watching it on tv, but she loves to go to the games and will get mad if I go without her. Ditto for my kid. He loves basketball and has been playing since before he turned 2. Avoiding the wrath of the two of them is to me well worth the risk that our presence will somehow offend others. Besides, the games are for everyone...especially kids. In any public situation you just have to expect to deal with all kinds of folks, and all kinds of things you may find annoying. My family deals with it...so should you. Otherwise you always have the option to stay home and watch on tv.
Oh what we discuss on this board in the dead of Summer... While everyone is worried about the tatoos, piercings, and sexual moves of dancers, or who's more disruptive at games, babbling drunks or whinning kids, I would rather ponder the question: why aren't we discussing adding male power dancers?
The Knicks tried that while I was living in NY. There was a chorus of boos every time they hit the floor. It lasted all of a month before the Knicks cut them.
Yeah guys, Jessica is w****. If you are looking for easy snatch, look no further. I was told from a very, very credible source, that she met a guy at a club one night, took him back to her place and asked "are you going to f*ck me or not?" I'll put it this way... the ROX have a new cheerleading director and she used to be a Texans cheerleader. She knows how skanky Jessica is. I guarentee she WILL NOT be back on the squad next season.
I find that hard to believe because of how the Rockets used her this year. She is plastered all over the tryout flyers, she was the first month on the calender, and always showed her when they did halftime segments on the cheerleaders, i just hope she is still on the squad.
And the problem with that is If it was the reverse, I guy picks up a girl and tries to get her into bed (and succeeds), he's a pimp. But if a girl do it she's a w**** If she likes to get it on I say good for her and hook a brotha up
