With the game he has and what the team was looking for (shooting, backup point, grab boards), what could he really have done to make the team in his limited chances? Would had to have gone Novak 6 for 7 from 3's with 3 straight dunks or something. Haryasz had a better chance than Azubuike, especially with Bonzi coming in.

Has Bobby Sura practiced a lick other than rehabbing that knee. Jacobson has more to offer than Sura at this point, Bobby needs to really make a decision at this point. Either get into practices and some pre-season games or retire rather than taking a roster spot from someone like Jacobson who needs a job.

maybe the rockets will keep sura's ending contract on the roster until the deadline.

JVG says he likes having 13 or 14 players. It'd be funny if he cut all 4 of the remaining bubble guys.

Bowen had hip surgery in the offseason which is why he has not played. He also has a guarenteed contract which is why he won't get cut without a buyout.

Oh no.. I'm basically in tears

A couple more cuts and we're set. All we need is Yao and T.. cut the rest.. they can take on the league they're so good

are padgett and novak very similar in terms of what they bring to the team, i.e. average forwards who are effective from 3pt range? if so we'd only need one of them...

Similar, not identical. Padgett is bigger and stronger; Novak can shoot better. Padgett is a PF only; Novak (maybe) can play SF on rare occassions. Novak is a developing rookie while Padgett is a vet who knows his NBA limitations and abilities inside/out.

I don't see them as the same player but most here feel otherwise. IMO, Padgett has already pushed Chuck Hayes off the active roster. I'm very glad we signed him.

I dont understand why you guys want jacobsen to be cut over Rybo??? Jacobsen is prolly 100 times better than Rybo, thats how bad Rybo sucks. My prediction next to be cut is Sura(retire) n Rybo will be released.

Yeah. Maybe Hayes is hurt. I don't know. Padgett is here to stay. And you can't have too many shooters, especially big man shooters. If we need a 3 to tie a game with 5 seconds left, we can put out this lineup:

    Head, TMac, Battier, Novak, Padgett

That is not necessarily true. Padgett weighs more at 240 but Novak is taller. Also, Padgett has played SF many times throughout his career and i'm sure he will play some this year as well

I agree with this. It's not a stretch to say that one of us are better that Rybo. At least Jacobson offers some kind of shooting to this team if nothing else. Rybo just offers NOTHING
