As I said last season and before, young guys like IHart need to be able to make mistakes which is something our coaches have kept a short leash on due to some combination of philosophy and championship expectations. Hopefully Silas is more willing to experiment and tinker during the regular season than his predecessors, as I think Pop, Carlisle, Spoelstra, and Nurse are some of the best at adapting in the post season.
With the roster as presently constructed you have EG, Harden and now BT/Tate who could distribute the ball. Tbh the Rox should have offloaded either EG or Tucker for assets and cap relief before the season started so they wouldnt have been hard capped.
I still think cutting Hartenstein was a mistake. I mean, we kept someone like Clemons who has been completely useless.
Apparently there has just been a new wave of Hartenstein regretfulness now that we.... have Wood and Cousins?
Nah, it just never went away, giving away developing pieces then overpaying to get them back was Morey's biggest negative. DD
Thinking about Hartenstein's tenure in Houston will always be extremely frustrating. He's is a good NBA player and we cut him for no reason. I think he can have a Motiejunas-like career, but D'Antoni couldn't figure out a way to keep him on the floor...total bullshit.
He looking decent with the Knicks Good on him Rocket River He 1 more yr on contract . . . . hhhhmmmmm bench
Always thought they should have kept him. He was cheap, young, fit a backup need, worked toward both a rebuild & reload.
I would love to see both Sengun and Hartenstein running down the court together. That would just make my season to witness those 2 gates. I mean, getting to 40 wins would be nice, too, but that's secondary.
Hartenstein was clearly good and the Rockets clearly misused him. Was frustrating then, even more so now.
Are you talking about the playoffs, a game, or the season? Because I don't watch much Knicks basketball, but looking at his season stats, I'm going to have to ask you to explain yourself.
