...Man, I've given up on free agents when it comes to the Rockets. The Suns got Nash, we got a fatty, a r****d and an old guy. To put it bluntly.

What use is Bonzi if he isn't in game shape and able to gel with the team. This can only be acheived by playing games. JVG just won't give him a chance to get fit and win a decent contact next season. Les and Morey should look closely at JVG and his personal way of coaching/not coaching the team, before considering a renewal of his contract!

What JVG is trying to do is to get his 8 1/2 rotation to get the best chemistry possible, to be ready for the Jazz in the playoffs, but this will come at the expense of Bonzi rotting away.

I would rather see an outta shape Bonzi play than seeing Rafer alston shoot 3-21, with 0-15 running teardrops....

I do agree with JVG contract...Les alexander family has to be watching the rockets game saying the same thing as we are......Fire JVG, because there is not a single player who's offensive skills will flourish under JVG system...its just impossible.....Yao is different, because he worked on it himself...JVG don't even stress the importance offense in practice....That's sad...Off/Def in practice should be atleast 50/50 or 60/40.......JVG is 90/10 ....

I hope Bonzi gets into excellent shape this summer and decides to come back next season. We need him, he's great insurance for T-Mac. He also wouldn't ask for more than a few million based on the season he's had. Plus, he knows the system by now. I hope he plays the remaining games and makes an impression.

If after all that has transpired this season so far, Bonzi still decides to come back next season with the Rockets, he is going to be stupider than I think he is. Yes, even stupider than letting that huge contract from Sacramento slip by.

Of course this doesn't hold if he contributes in playoffs and Rockets do some damage this year.

Going by the conspiracy themes on the BBS. T-Mac is faking the stiff back injury that way it will force JVG to play Bonzi. :D

Not really. This just means that he has given up on working with JVG and Rockets and all he cares right now is a good image for his potential buyer of the next season.

lol. so no offensive player can flourish under jvg, but yao, however thats not b/c of JVG? way to pick and choose.

btw, isnt tmac still among the top scorers in the league?

i know people are upset about a loss where the rockets score 99 pts! but overreaction and weak arguments dont help

Bonzi: a really big cheerleader? No one wants to see one of those. :D

I guess he has nothing to lose by making those comments. JVG can play him for finally being humble, or if he does not, then it was JVG fault and he gets a better chance of landing a good contract with another team next year.

I suspect that after yesterday's loss JVG might give him a last chance. Hopefully it goes well and we can see Bonzi in the playoffs.

Not to mention the poster you quoted also has "inside" information and knows exactly what % of what is being worked on....

Question, Do you think Bonzi will pick up "his option"?

We all know Houston has great nightlife and golf courses and Bonzi loves both.

Bonzi's remarks are clearly insincere and "politically correct." You don't want to hear what he really thinks. Or maybe you do. Something like, " I am an idiot for not taking the Kings deal, and JVG is a jerk, but the Rockets are so stupid they gave me a year off and paid me."

PLAY BONZI! Our bench is way too thin as is, and it sounds like he's willing, play him Coach. I am a JVG supporter and I support the hard stance he takes on troublemakers, but we need this guy. He is the only player on our team besides Tmac and Yao that can create a shot for himself and causes any sort of matchup problems. He will be very useful vs. Utah and if we end up playing the Spurs. He seems willing to cooperate, Gundy needs to bend this time.
