I think Bullet time was introduced by Max Payne....LONG before the game shipped as a cool new feature. I could be wrong, but that is where I first became aware of it...and it was pre matrix. Link to Wiki article that may give us a clue as to it's origins "The phrase Bullet Time is a registered trademark of Warner Bros., the distributor of The Matrix. It was formerly a trademark of 3D Realms, producer of the Max Payne games." DD
of course they touted the feature before the game came out. it was novel at the time. they didn't invent the terminology, or the actual idea. as for it being "pre-matrix"...the matrix came out in 1999...max payne came out in 2001. max payne was in development for about 3 years, but they still didn't coin the term. sorry.
Aaron has no inbetween game. Right now, it's either a three pointer or a wild drive inside, neither of which he's spectacular at. As an offensive specialist he's really going to have to expand his game. Tony Parker really took off when he developed his midrange game and the ability to drive and dish; Aaron has neither.
Well they certainly owned the trademark on it first...before Warner bought it from 3D realms. Parker didn't either his rookie year...why do people think Brooks has peaked? He was a rookie....he will get better. DD
if brooks can: develop a consistent jumper, finish penetration to the rack, and utilize his quickness better when defending, he's going to be another scola type level player. his quickness is some of the best in the nba but hasnt been utilized in adelman system.
because they didn't think it was worth trademarking initially. it happens all the time. do you really think when the wachowski brothers made the matrix they realized it would become one of the biggest hits / cult hits ever? doubtful. the other thing is for copyright purposes, a movie and a video game are different mediums. at least they were when 3dr first trademarked it. which is why time warner later purchased it from them. the term was coined for the matrix.
Parker was a teenager his rookie year. I've been watching Brooks play almost as long I've been watching Parker play. Brooks might get better, but if he was going to develop those playmaking skills he could have done it at Oregon. It's not like he didn't try.
