Did anyone listen to Adam Clanton today morning? He said that he heard in practice yesterday the Rockets are planning on cutting Francis. Today's update makes it sound like the coaches are being cautious, but perhaps still willing to give him a chance.

Great update, love it. And of course good to hear McGrady is feeling good and will play. I'd like to see him playing for tough 20-25 minutes. He needs it.

the knee probably swelled up after the celtics' preseason game, and after consecutive practices; that's why he hasn't played since.

it's great to see him in 3 straight practices on 3 consecutive days. his knee is responding in a good way. hopefully, he'll keep gaining confidence with his knee.

 

Sounds like Francis is pushing it a bit after he hasn't practiced much all pre-season. Makes me wonder what the rush is unless he feels some pressure from them to show something in practice. Out 3 days from when he was first suppose to get on the court to now wanting to play in the final preseason game.

I am rooting for his recovery but a lot of his responses lean toward the overly optimistic side like there is pressure coming from the staff that they haven't seen any improvement from him to even consider a roster spot. There are "3-4 weeks, and I'll be on the court" responses but the reality appears that it is more like 3 months.

Anyone else reading that?
