If Francis played pg during our Utah series, Deron Williams wouldnt have bullied him like he did the others

I believe he was left active in case of the finals.

Only so much room on the bench allowed each team, and Yao was on it.

No, they can change the playoff roster as they go along, Yao was not active.

his stlye is more fit for 2 guard because he got mid range jump shot and he could take into the paint anytime but not so good withs his 3s

Hmmm... in the second championship year the Rockets only had 10 active and could not change it.

    You sure?

Anyway, I thought it was like an IR rule... once on it, you're ineligible... as in the NFL.

He had that injury since he was with the Magic then trade-in to Knicks never get that knee fix and then he knew this might be the last shot for championship so he tought finally correcting it. Francis will have a good season next year.

who cares whether Yao was there and steve was not? I certainly could give a flying rats azz. He exercised his option to return and thats good enough for me regardless of his other options or lack thereof.

Umm. That was pretty much the only highlight Francis has this year. I'm just saying he was overconfident and unfit, which is true. Its funny how much you bag on McGrady when he has done a lot more this season than Francis ever did, including game winners that is.

All I'm trying to say is Francis has yet proven he can make a true impact on the game, and that I want him to get fit so he could become our potential third scorer. It would be great seeing a back court with him and McGrady. He may have hit a game winner, but game winner does not count as an "impact" on the game. Luther could make a game winner, but I don't think he would be counted as making an impact on the game.

However, if Francis does get fit, he could create an impact. Yao + McGrady + Fit Francis = Awesome team.

umm, let's see you make a game winner and you don't impact the game. Mmmkay, I guess impacting the game and "taking over the game" means the same to you.

So, yao and tmac are unproven to lead us out of the first round as of yet, so give francis sometime to heal, gel and he will find his place on this team...

Neither Francis nor TMac has gotten out of the first Round with the Rockets
T-Mac has had better teams and against worse Competition than a Laker Team with 4 Hall of Famers on it. [Including 3 that are MVPS - Malone, Shaq, Kobe]
    LAKERS >> Dallas and BOOHOOTah

He may have been over confident but he was also INJURED
    lingering injure

    On this we do Agree

    # Playoff roster size will be expanded from 13 to 15 players, with each team designating 12 active players and up to three inactive players prior to each game.

There is no more IR list. There is only an inactive list that has to be submitted prior to each game. It is not etched in stone either. Woods was active in one of the playoff games but put in the inactive list and was wearing a suit in another.

A healthy Steve Francis off the bench with T-Mac handling the ball. Man, it could get interesting. I'm not sure Stevie has it in him but I would love for him to have the chance to prove he can still do if healthy.

I don't expect him to be an all-star, but if he is effective that by itself is worthy of a 2nd point guard. Heck, if he plays properly he could end up taking over.

Or he could flame out and prove he has nothing left. It's all on him now and his desire/ability to come back.

Here is to hoping he comes back. If he doesn't he is another expiring to package at least.
