TMac can talk all he wants when he reaches the 2nd round of playoffs this season, which is about 6 and 1/2 months away. For now, I'd rather see him keep it low key.
Not I. I am happy he is showing emotion....an emotional motivated Tmac bodes VERY well for the season. As in 60+ wins well. DD
That's just T-mac putting on for the bright lights and being the statesman that he is...he also knows that "wins" on paper ain't worth a dime come June when only what you do on the court matters! There's some truth to that statement because this team is vastly different than his first two since he arrived and it's also different than that Toronto team...in many ways. I expect this team to play with a chip on it's shoulder...at least I hope that JVG will instill that "us against the world" mentality because nobody really takes this team serious. We're considered soft or injury-prone or just not good enough to run (yet) with Dallas, SA and Phx so let's stay below the radar until the radar can no longer conceal our talent and the bright lights converge on the TC arena and everyone including Ahmad Rashad says, "I told you this team is the bomb...T-mac is the second coming of George "the iceman" Gervin and that Bob White should start planning the parade route and declaring July 1st Rockets day...or something like that.
Breaking News- every single player in the NBA likes their teams' chances to win the championship this year, according to interviews taken during Training Camp, Media Day, and Open Practices around the league
You're probably right. In 02-03 he predicted 60 wins with the Magic. He should leave that to me. 56-60 wins.
