Dude seriously? Use some common sense. Hayes Deke Cat are the only three snubs but there is no way Cat should be above T-Mac. Names that should still be remembered... Jim Jackson Jon Barry Ron Artest Aaron Brooks Carl Landry David Wesley
3 seasons. Scola is 7th in total minutes played for a Rockets player in that decade, and he's 6th in win shares for the decade. Granted, Mobley beats him in both categories.
Win shares, I guess that is what all the fans were considering....hey, who has the most win shares... LOL Just busting your chops, my man. DD
Jim Jackson- Only here from 03-04 to around December of 05 when he was traded to NO (never showed up) and the only thing he did to contribute was a good three point percentage, and that one buzzer beater game winner VS Chicago 82-80 in February of 04 Jon Barry- Not worthy. Great shooter, and great leader to have. Ron Artest- HELL NO. Aaron Brooks- Not here long enough, and his last year in Houston wasn't very good Landry- Maybe. The dude had mad love from Houston , and even got shot while he was playing here . David Wesley - Good shooter again, but definitely not worth it. Disclaimer: This is just my opinion, before my common sense gets questioned
yeah I wanted Cat on the team. Think about it, he played with Barkley, Dream, , Steve and Yao. All the important Rockets.
because he gave the rockets and the fan base a chance to win the championship with his great talent. he had amazing performances and left us with great memories. he played his butt off in every playoff series...led us to winning 22 games in a row mostly without yao ming. no other player since hakeem could have done that.....tmac was special. so stfu
Battier over Hayes makes sense, it took Hayes until 2010 before he had any offense and his FT shooting was somewhat good. Battier at least contributed on offense and was very clutch and hit some good shots for us to beat Portland in game 3 & 4. Also his defense during the 22 game winning streak was much more valuable than what Hayes did.
Those names are definitely not worthy but did make great contributions to the Rockets in that decade. Those names are like the all-third team Rockets.
I had Steve Cat Tmac Scola Yao I have no idea why you think I'm mad, I knew Tmac would make it, it's a no brainer. I was surprised he was overtaken by Battier. The only thing that would piss me off would be the Rockets retiring his number.
Everyone has a chance to win a championship if they make the playoffs. You mean he had the talent which gave the illusion that we had a chance to win. He wasn't there for all 22 games. He was not very special. Moses Malone and Calvin Murphy led the Rockets to an NBA Finals. Moses Malone won 2 MVPS as a Rocket. Ralph Sampson helped the Rockets defeat the legendary Lakers when Dream was kicked out of the game. We went to 6 vs a legendary Celtics team. I agree with some of what you said and I don't deny he was a critical part of the 2000s. But a team that didn't win a series with him, isn't a team that was anywhere close to a championship. Moses Malone and Ralph were much closer to a championship. A few games closer.
Yao - Will show up. He's genuine about his loyalty to the Rockets and Houston. McGrady - he's playing on the Hawks Scola - Will show up obviously Francis - Someone needs to give him directions to Toyota Center or trick him to show up by telling him the dude in the bear suit has free drink coupons Battier - He's on the Heat So, I'm guessing, Yao/Scloa/and Steve will be there.
