1, I guess it's OK for Luis to rub off on Pat as long as Pat consents.

    2. Would be interesting to see whether Pat pulls these moves off in games. He just doesn't strike me as a guy with the kind of rhythm and fluidity that most NBA players have.

I don't think Patterson is part of our long term plans. He does not have the "star" potential and as long as we have guys like Dmo and others that do, he's only an after thought.

If he learn that I'm rooting for him and expect great things. Great to see somebody learned from him.

Nice interview. I still think DMo will win the starting job but if PPat out plays the rooks and he wins it then I'm fine with that. I love the part where he said making the all-defensive team was a goal. If he plays that well on defense with Parsons at the 3 and Asik at the 5 then the Rockets will have one hell of a good defensive front court. It's hard to imagine the team having 3 all defensive worthy front court players on the floor at one time but I love that attitude.

My problem with PPat last season was that he just did not play with much aggresiveness. He almost never attacked the basket, worked the post and sometimes I would forget about him even being on the floor. Hopefully this season brings new confidence and much better production.

That is what PatPat has to do - - develop and demonstrate that he needs to be part of the solution. Anyone wanna bet on the outcome? I can hope; I won't bet.

Clearly the ankle affected him last year.

From the beginning I thought that PPat had the upside of an extremely solid role player, which is much more than I could say for Hill. I still think he can reach that potential.

I like our rookies' upside and star potential more, but to start off the year, it still should be Pat's spot to lose. IMO.

    Patterson year 1 was encouraging.
    Patterson year 2 was not.

Patterson just seems timid to me. The only thing I remember thinking about on the plus side was his jumpshot and his defense in him rookie year was solid.

D-MO and Jones are just better prospects.

    Patterson year 1 had ankles.
Patterson year 2 had no ankles.

I think this proves definitively that ankles are a necessity in the game of basketball.

One couldn't ask for better answers from Patrick. I'm actually pretty excited to see how he looks this season!

He had ankles in year 2. They were hurting him.

One does not walk without ankles.

And you are probably the only one that took that literal.
