With Morey saying Yao be limited to the 2nd half, I could see that rotation in the 1st half. When Miller sits in the 1st half, Hill will come into take his spot.

I think a better line-up would be Chuck at PF and Pat at C. Talk about defense.

Pat can't even guard 6'6" Chuck. Forget about him guarding other C's.

Derrick Favors couldn't beat out Chuck Hayes...

I like his choice in role models in Shane and Chuck. As long as he takes their "how to be a better scorer" opinions with a grain of salt. ;)

I was talking about Coachbadlee's comment "Talk about Defense" in regards to Patterson at C. Hayes was lighting up Patterson with 3pters and layups. Did Hayes light up Favors also?

He would light up any rookie, especially one as raw as Favors...

Congratulations, you found the 2 crappy defensive players that can't guard Hayes. If they can't guard Hayes, how would anybody expect them to be "DEFENSE" against other NBA vets.

Opposing teams will have a field day, if the Rocket's lineup for frontcourt "Defense" has Patterson at C. Even you admit Patterson is bad right up there with Favors at C. Out of 30 teams, you probably chose the 29th and 30th worse defensive front court to call "DEFENSE".

So you're saying we aren't deep because if Yao goes down Brad Miller has to start? Yeah, forget that we have Lowry, Lee, Budinger, Hill, Patterson on the bench.

Patterson talked about Chuck Hayes scoring a lot in practice-- scoring 8 times in a row in the post and making shots all over the court-- without specifying the setting of said practice (i.e. 1 on 1, 3 on 3, 5 on 5?). Apparently this means Patterson was defending Chuck whenever he scored. Apparently this means Patterson will suck in the NBA during real games.

Apparently anyone complimenting Chuck means they suck.

Ain't never heard of none of the other guys on the list. All defense is worthless fo sho!

Patterson is soft and deferential, not hard and thuggish like people here like their men.

Jarvis Varnado holds the all time NCAA shot blocking total. Remember his name, it will be a trivia question someday.

Patterson was guarding Chuck and Chuck was schooling him from the post to the 3-pt line, including the game winner. Last year, Chuck couldn't get a shot against the other 29 teams. Now Chuck is tearing up Patterson. How can you expect Patterson to guard the other 29 centers, who are bigger and stronger than him. Patterson at C does not equal Defense.

Patterson is a rookie PF who can score, but gets abused by veterans defensively, including offensive liabilities like Chuck. The same Chuck that was never able to unleash his 3pt skills against the league.

Patterson is a great pick. However, you guys are nuts if you are thinking "DEFENSE" with Patterson at C and Hayes at PF. Our defense was exposed, last year, with Hayes at C. Moving him to PF and putting Patterson up against centers is not some bad-ass defense team like coachbadlee is implying. Patterson is inexperienced, undersized and overmatched at C.

I don't think Chuck is actually that bad offensively as you guys make it out to be. He seems to have a mental barrier whenever he touches the ball. It's been going on for years that the free throws he shoots in practice are significantly different than the ones he shoots in game. I think he just has some confidence issues offensively during game time. In practice, he can just let himself go without any fear. I've known that he has had a short jumper that he never shoots in games. He's also loves to do half court shot, 3 point shot contests (as seen with T-mac). Its just something he doesn't really bring in games, nor do I expect him ever to.
