Kevin McHale sure sounds excited about Aaron Brooks. Almost as excited as Adelman was about Hasheem Thabeet.

Brooks seemed much calmer and humble. He has definitely matured after playing in China and for Sacramento. I think he doesn't want to screw this opportunity up. Can't blame him. That one dude who asked him is he different from last time he was here just seemed like an a-hole! One of those people who just like to stir up crap and make you feel like crap by rubbing your nose in the past. Human garbage.

Lin: Aaron Brooks brings veteran leadership that the Rockets need and is a stabilizer. On Dallas: [on the back to back] Dallas will adjust and it's going to be a "chess match" on how to readjust to how they play. They're going to make what we did last game less successful so we're going to have to have counters, adjustment to new coverages/schemes by Dallas. He said they need to build off their good defense in the second half of last game.

Aaron Brooks: He said the Rockets are a good team, and the fact that Jeremy and Patrick are playing well gives him time to ease into it. McHale told him that he's going to be eased in and that he's going to have to work for minutes. He said he thinks he's better/smarter now than the last time he was here. He really enjoyed his time in China and thinks that he might go back late in his career. [On what he can bring] He said all of the point guards are different and that we can use each one depending on the situation.

McHale: He said Lin and Patrick have been playing well and that Aaron gives us a good insurance policy for the second half of the season. Played down talks about 6th seed. Gave credit to to Robinson's game in Dallas and said that they're still trying to figure him out and how to best utilize him. A reporter asked if these type of back to back games are good or bad and he said they are probably bad for us. He's going to mostly just play our game and force Dallas to adjust and only make little adjustments ourselves because whenever we try something new we haven't worked on it ends in disaster.

Loved brooks' demeanor. Looks like he's matured a ton and is happy to be on the team. I know i would be, especially coming from a ****show like the kings

Not complaining just an observation...I don't think I have ever seen McHale doing an interview without chewing gum.

Lin noted that the recent trades caused the team to take step back. #TeamPatterson.
