Trip me out what he said... Put Yao against their best player, then put Tracy against their 2nd best player, then put me against their 3rd best player then add up the numbers and you tell me!
Nobody has the balls to tell Artest we won 22 in a row and not 23. Ron Artest instills fear in people on and off the court.
LoL check out http://www.nba.com/kings/bobby_donte_splash.html they're really excited to get Bobby Jackson back.
I love how Artest talks about winning a ring when the question gets asked to him if the rockets can finally get past the first round.
I have a feeling he'll be a poor man's Rashard Lewis. I woulda said KD or maybe even TMac but his handles are just awful like Rashard's
They got a big ass welcome sign. Rockets.com better put a big ass animated welcome sign right now before Artest gets mad!
With our big 3 starting can you imagine how big of a lead we can have after the first quarter as far as starting games. I know we will finish.
With the addition of Ron Artest and Yao playing the olympics, Tracy has been left out he needs his time to rest but I like this vid someone did on youtube... <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/GqdiSYqaJTE&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/GqdiSYqaJTE&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Gonna have to disagree. The Celtics, Rockets, and Lakers are a little harder to compare than that due to the Lakers having 2 bigs in their 3. I'm going to look at it by position: Starters PG: Ralston vs. Fisher vs. Rondo None of the three have a big standout PG here. I'd put Fisher as the best due to leadership followed by Rondo for playoff success followed by Ralston. Maybe. Ralston plays great D and won't be asked to score. If he's in the back, he's not in the back by much. Ralston ≤ Rondo < Fisher SG: Artest vs. Kobe vs. Allen Anyone who doesn't give Kobe the nod here is out of his mind. Allen vs. Artest is a little tougher. Artest will occasionally decide it's his time to score, and that's not always a good thing. Allen's unselfishness is nice, but I'm still wary of his performance in last year's playoffs. Artest overall is definitely more talented. Allen < Artest < Kobe SF: McGrady vs. Odom vs. Pierce Mr. UnClutch really has lived up to the name. Odom is a distant third but not a bad player. Pierce vs. T-Mac is a bit different. Both are explosive scorers who can do everything and carry a team. McGrady seems to settle for lousy jumpers but is a better passer. Pierce has a ring. T-Mac takes it to another level in the playoffs beyond almost everyone in NBA history. I could go with either here, but I'll give it to T-Mac on potential. With Artest in the lineup, he might feel like he can be more aggressive without having to worry so much about saving himself for later. Odom < Pierce ≤ McGrady PF: Scola vs. Gasol vs. KG Scola's stat line against the jazzhands indicates he's definitely not a weak point in this team. And while he can hold his own against almost anyone, he's definitely outclassed by the other two. Gasol's too soft to touch KG here, but playing next to a banger like Bynum will help out his game a lot. Well, it will Bynum can still play like he did last season. Scola < Gasol < KG C: Yao vs. Bynum vs. Perkins Yao needs to stay healthy. He needs to actually play in the playoffs. And he needs to do it without having a robotic leg. If he does this, he's #1 with a bullet. Bynum is a big question mark; does he have the drive to come back from injury and play like he did last year? If he does, he'll make the Lakers' frontcourt scary. What Bynum will do for Gasol is a lot like what Shaq did for Amare. Perkins < Bynum* < Yao *Playing like he played last season Bench: Jewish Jordan, Luke Walton, and Vladimir Radmanovic? Sun Yue and Sasha Vujacic? The Lakers don't have much to call a bench right now. This is the weak part of their team. This is where they need help. Eddie House, Leon Powe, Big Baby Davis, and Tony Allen are definitely a step up. I like this bench. Not only do the Celtics have productive bench players, they have productive bench players who have made major contributions to an NBA Title, Luther Head. However, this is one of the Rockets' big strengths. Landry will be back. He brings a ton of energy and tenacity off the bench. And if, for some reason, he doesn't return? Mike Harris is a poor man's Landry. Harris has lost weight to be able to keep up with speedy 3s, worked on a jumper, and dives for every loose ball. Hayes is still around and can still be a significant contributor to this team. Barry is lights out from beyond the arc and brings with him multiple rings. Battier (even if he starts, Artest will play starter's minutes) is one of the best defenders in the league who can hit 3s all day from the corner. And if the rumors are true about Stevie's offseason training, he could be a significant bench player. Celtics < Lakers < Rockets All in all, while I won't say the Rockets automatically have the best team, they do have a team that, if healthy, could definitely run away with the Western Conference. Man, I'm giddy. November can't get here soon enough.
Oh, I know. I just don't think you can really compare a trio that's SG-PF-C with two that are SG-SF-C.
