They have new arena pics as of August 6 up at the toyota center site. None of them will load on my pc. Is anybody else able to view them yet?

I'm sure the sign isnt finished yet. There's probably another piece that clicks on to it. Probably one of those mirror like face plates.
The 'official' website is definitely an improvement. You can easliy tell that ClutchCity.net had an influence as far as the content goes. But unfortunately for them, no one will ever understand the mind of a Rockets fan the way this website does. I can't wait to see the new cc.net. That's gonna be a fun day. Will there be 'pajama retro' in the future?
If I saw this site on one of the web-design boards I visit, it would receive remarks such as the one above or this: The light-colored red does not compliment the soft grey at all. There's absolutely no contrast to the site, to make certain areas pop out. And, the bevels or pipe-style headers are very amateur, when not done properly, such as in this case. The navigation is hard to determine between the headers and text, because it all bleeds into each other. It's not an overhaul to bring it into the new era, but a quick mask of the old site. In my opinion, they should have overhauled the entire design. If you think, I'm kidding, check out this site for an example: http://www.philadelphiaeagles.com/ While, I don't post a lot on this site, I've been in the design field in Houston for 4 years, and work for Continental Airline's design team, so that should speak enough. If not, here's my portfolio - hasn't been updated in a while but oh well: http://narsus.com/fovtown Anyways guys, you really should expect the best when it comes to companies/franchises of this nature. Not... "well it's better than the old one". I can't even imagine what my CEO would say if our logo/website had comments like "it looks morbid" or "gothic" attached to it.
I agree with your comments. It was hard for the Rockets online site to get worse, but it did. No contrast, and it lacks punch.
Yeah, there's definitely a direct shot at cc.net in that paragraph... If that's not blatant, I don't know what is...Clutch should sue the Rockets for slander or something. Shut those jerkoffs down.
Speaking as a web developer, I'm in agreement. The NFL is really the gold standard for sports league websites. They are much better than NBA and MLB. This site just doesn't seem particularly well thought out and that is disappointing. Plus, there is SO much red on there. Primary colors like red are so tough on websites because they are tough on the eyes. This is no exception. I do find the quote below "Rockets Around the Web" to be hilarious: Rockets.com is your "one-stop shop" for any and all Rockets news around the Web. No need to surf other sites, we've already done it for you. LOL! Yeah, right. Even THE ROCKETS surf ClutchCity.net. Pretty funny stuff.
