I believe he has already signed a contract with a team in Europe. So for the time being, he isn't going to be a Rocket this season. But we do have his rights. Let him perfect him game over there and bring him over when the time is reaady.

Curious where you got that info from on him signing in Europe, I hadn't seen that. This is a good problem to have. Budding young talent and not enough room.

I think he has the potential to be a Scalabrine level sort of player. If the Rockets overpay after his rookie year we'll know Danny Ainge wasn't the one to blame for Scalabrine's :D

I like the guy, has some potential but it's gonna take some time until he's signed.

He's a lotto, you never know what's going to be with those kind of players but he has a tough road if he's planing to fill up a roster spot.

Not only he's going to fight with J.Dorsey or Donte Green but with the current players like M Harris and A Brooks.

why wasn't maarty taken earlier in the draft? His numbers were good in college and he's 6,9. Will maarty be better for rick adleman's system then mike harris or dorsey?

They have different roles. Maarty does do the little things that Novak can't do but his primary role is that of a spacing four. Dorsey has been taken for his rebounding and defense. The Rockets hope that he can be a physical and athletic force, which is entirely different from Leunen's case.

Harris is more athletic than Maarty too,but it's possible that Leunen might be a better fit than him in the future because of his outside shooting ability.

He lacks the athleticism, strength, and speed of they many other players. He relied on basketball IQ in college, which often worries scouts. He didn't have a post up game in college. Also, he didn't lead the team, which I think some scouts wanted him to .

Also, I think most people expected him to go to Europe this year.
