I don't think I have ever heard of a player being so lauded for having 0 pts and 3 assists in a 15 period stretch... and a loss.

I didn't realize Bev is scoring more points than anyone in his first five starts since the NBA/ABA merger?

Couldn't Beverley have the same ceiling as Lin based on sample size?

I have nothing personally against Lin. He seems like a great guy. Definitely not a head case or cancer in the locker room. I extremely dislike the influx of r****ds that follow a player that has not even proved he's good (tons of PG's have a good season or stretch during the season and then flame out later on) and place him above the team. Consider we just finally, FINALLY seem to have gotten rid of most our ToF and YoF members, I do not want to see or talk to a LoF.

Yes good coaches tailor offenses to superstars and stars. I simply don't consider Lin a player worth changing our offense for. He is not at a level where he can dictate when he plays. If this was a top 10 PG talent we are talking about, then that is a different story, but Lin is no where close to that.

If he did close to what Lin did during Linsanity, SURE.

You do know that this was the critique most levied against Lin on this site, right? That the sample size was too small. Shoot, it was practically a meme. A popular one too, lol. So, it's too small a sample size for him but sufficient for Beverley, right?

    See what I did there.

Beverley has done well, look up all my posts on Beverley and they were glowing. I advocated that he was a pg unlike TD and that he should see more playing time. I posted this at least 20 times ever since his first game. But to say "we don't lose much by benching Lin" is not a comment that is meant to be complimentary of Beverely, but disparaging of Lin.

Buddy, do you know that every comment you make oozes condescension. And btw, you do realize that there is practically noone who doesnt' like what Beverley has done for us, right?

Why Les wants to sign him?
Will the sponsors give Les an earful if this trend continues without reasons?
Will the Lin fans continue to attend Houston games, both at home and away?
What if Linsanity 2.0 occurs after he was traded?

    Just my two cents. :)

I haven't seen anybody actually laud Beverley for his play against the Mavs in any way that I'd consider to be over the top.

Of course, I'm not biased, nor caught up one way or the other, so I wouldn't care too much if anyone did.

The fact that Beverley's box score numbers during that 15 minute stretch didn't look very impressive probably had something to do with him primarily playing off the ball. Besides, lots of what makes Beverley valuable (ball pressure, deflections, securing 50/50 balls, etc...) doesn't show up in the box score.

I actually have no problem with people arguing that Lin should have been in the Mavs game down the stretch. It's an argument one very well can make. Maybe he should have. I just don't think it was a ridiculous decision to not play Lin.

None of this would of happen if DMO played decent that game. He looked like a terrible joke as a stater in that game. He better start proving he can start because we're at a time constraint!! We really need someone who is reliable at that position soon!!!

You first call out LOFs are r****ds..
You said you don't want to see them and talk to them..
and yet You not only posted in this thread but also explain why you don't consider Lin is a top 10 pg.
I think you are more of a r****d yourself, eh?

What if Parsons sat the last 15 minutes of a game and they went only with Delfino for 3 straight games? Would your reaction be the same?

    Curious.

    Let me ask you something.

Do you care that the team wins or loses? Lin gives you a better chance of winning. You can argue otherwise but not after his replacement scores 0 pts and 3 assists over a 15 min period and a team loss!

Do you care if Lin develops into a star? Surely that means development and success for the team as a whole no? If you do care, how is that going to happen if he is not allowed to play crunch time irrespective of how he plays and how his backup plays? If you don't care then why are you complaining that he's not a star player right now?

Come on. Do you know what "hard hand" mean? Is Delfino or Parsons top ten talents? They shot when open. Harden's many off days showing that he is not a top 5 talent everyday. All ISO play simply do not work all the time. Team efforts only.

Isn't that something? At the end of the day LOHs are in every way as obsessed as so called LOFs.
