The Last 3 games Lowry > Brooks. The first 5 games Brooks > Lowry. Budinger is impressing me most. He's a rook and playing like a beast out there. And he hasnt been quite hte defensive liability that I imagined. Though Lowry is doing quite well in his role on this team.

I agree. Lowry is looking good when he plays against the other team's second unit, and the Rockets can get up and down the floor. Against starters, those fast breaks are harder to come by, and then you have to be able to create in a half-court set. Brooks is better at it then Lowry.

What the heck is this Brooks has a low IQ nonsense I keep seeing? Where were the results of the test posted? Because from I what I have seen on court, he is smart enough to usually be able to get the ball into the basket even around taller defenders and when able can make some decent passes.

He had 10 assists the other night but I think most of them were in transition or the few seconds where the other team recovers from stopping the transition.

The first game Lowry played better than Brooks too. Brooks is better than Lowry only when his shots are falling.

Profound. A scoring PG is only better than a transition/foul drawing PG when the scoring PG is making shots.

I could then say that Brooks is better than Lowry when the other team has us on fast break lockdown.

First game, Rockets fell apart in Portland with Brooks out of the game. That's why Adelman played him the entire second half.

Not necessarily. Lowry is a better rebounder, defender. And he drew charges, stole balls, block shots, drew fouls better than Brooks. He's not only helping Rockets in transition game.

Brooks has improved his vision from last season though, and he can shoot really well when he's hot. With Hayes and Battier in the starting linup, he is needed more than Lowry. But when you Landry, Andersen, Buddinger, Ariza on the floor, Lowry is better.

It was when both Lowry and Brooks were on the court, Rockets started the come back.

I was using transition because most of his assists seem to come from that aspect. And it stands out just slightly more than his drawing the contact from penetration(which also comes on transition sometimes)

That 5 man combo is pretty good, and the Brooks/Lowry 1-2 combo at the guards spots has been nice at points as well. Thats why I cant say one is better than the other empirically. Both have their combos that they excel with.

According to this post, your IQ is the only one you should be worrying about.

    .....Really?

I agree a 100 percent with this statement, I've been saying this for a while. But Brooks is just a more explosive version of Luther Head and that's about it. Though Luther was the better defender, I don't think highly of Brooks like others on this site do. Obviously we all should think highly of him since he's a Rocket, he's young and he could score. But I truly don't believe he can get any better, maybe his knowledge for the game but that's about it.
