You can give the kudos to Yoyo because he tweeted me about this one... or tweeted about me about this one http://www.nba.com/rockets/video/2009/07/21/chuck.hayes.interv.072109.rockets/index.html
so you're telling me I somehow managed to come across Chuck Hayes news before you did? I need to sit down for a second here
Hmm... not much substance in that video, but I did like how he lit up when he was asked about his son. He seems like a good guy.
Not sure what it is about him, but Chuck has been my favorite Rocket from like the second game I saw him play when he was on that 10-day contract in January 2006. I never watched him in college. Didn't even watch summer league or pay attention to training camp that season. But there was something about the way he played, I just knew he was a winner. I'm glad he's stuck with the team as long as he has, and I hope he remains an option for us for the next 10 years. He'll be a great coach one day too, I wager.
Gotta love players like Chuck, hard worker, team guy that brings it every night. Big reason the team has as much heart as it does. Seeing him light up about his son was pretty cool.
Given Hayes' shooting motion already looks like Barkley's golf swing, I shudder to imagine what Hayes' golf swing looks like.
When he was mentioning young players that were going to help the team stay competitive this year, he didn't mention Von, I'm thinking Chuck doesn't think Von is going to be in a Rox uni this year.
IF CHUCK HAYES STARTS, THE ROCKETS WILL MAKE THE PLAYOFFS. IF HE DOESN'T START, I GUARANTEE YOU THEY WON'T. In a side note, the interviewer sure asked some generic questions.
