Any words on whether Yao will be there to welcome our latest team member. That would be really awsome.

As for other questions -- we're not planning on opening concessions (this won't be a very long event), but the merchandise store will be open as part of their normal store hours. Cuttino and Steve merchandise will be marked down, but Tracy McGrady merchandise will not be in yet. Reebok is rushing it in, but we don't expect it to arrive until this weekend.

And no, since it's a working press conference, we won't have the Power Dancers, although Clutch will probably be out on the concourse greeting people as they arrive.

Remember, doors at 4:30 p.m., press conference scheduled start at 5:00 p.m., and enter through the main (rotunda) entrance. And be patient -- these things can often get off to a late start. The press is used to that (it's fairly common), so be prepared.

No plans for Yao being there right now -- he's got his obligations to his Olympic team, and that comes first for him this summer.

He couldn't even just fly in one day / half a day for some photo-ops with McGrady and some interaction? I mean he is in Texas, not China. Seems like a lost opportunity to sell Yao/Tmac together to the fans EARLY in the summer! I think we would all like to see it. I mean, one day? I know he is training with the Olympic team, but seriously...one day?

I think this is not up to the Rocket's management. It's really up to the Chinese NT. From what I know, the chance for them let Yao go for a show is slim to none.
We ought to host the Chinese NT next time around. Rockets need to build up relationship with Chinese NT. Any of our assistant coaches would make a better head coach for Chinese NT than Del Harris.

All Chinese are evils, right?
The most important Chinese sports trainning method is "strict control". All players must train hard. The star player especially need to take a examplary role of doing that. Coaches believe no exception shall be made in that regards.
Well, it's just a different approach I guess.

My friends and I are true Rocket fans we really want to go to the press conference but we got no ride. So could somebody please give us a ride, PLEASE, i beg you, help us please, we'll be checking the forums like every 5 min. so if you ccan please just tell us and we'll give you our information. We live in Sugar land, in Commonwealth, 1 other friend lives near the blockbuster on highway 6. Once again, we will greatly appreciate it. Thanks
