    If only I could convince AP to fly me out there to cover it....(but it would be hard to disguise my Rocket fandom). Man, this is so great! I jumped up and down in jubilation when I heard the news.

    Ah, yes, but it's not the Rockets who manufacture the jerseys - it's Reebok. The turnaround on getting jerseys to market is notoriously long - remember how long it took to get replica jerseys last season?

    Is it official that Yao Ming will be at the press conference? I would think that it would be fairly easy for him to fly into town for the day since he is already in Texas.

    Heh. The photoshop gurus on this site are amazing, but, um, the idea of photoshopping uniforms on players didn't exactly originate here. Heck, we had to do that with all of our billboards last year, because artwork was due well before uniforms were ready. We've had a T-Mac jersey photoshop image in-house ready to go in case anything happened for ... a while.

    But, that said, there's some truly amazing photoshoppers on this site. I'm impressed on a fairly regular basis.

    As for other questions -- we're not planning on opening concessions (this won't be a very long event), but the merchandise store will be open as part of their normal store hours. Cuttino and Steve merchandise will be marked down, but Tracy McGrady merchandise will not be in yet. Reebok is rushing it in, but we don't expect it to arrive until this weekend.

    And no, since it's a working press conference, we won't have the Power Dancers, although Clutch will probably be out on the concourse greeting people as they arrive.

    Remember, doors at 4:30 p.m., press conference scheduled start at 5:00 p.m., and enter through the main (rotunda) entrance. And be patient -- these things can often get off to a late start. The press is used to that (it's fairly common), so be prepared.

    Heard that Juwan Howard will not be at the press conference. Don't want to start any trade rumors early... (actually, I believe you can't trade someone you just acquired right away).

    Got my season tickets!!!!

    I had a 12 game package last season and now I upgraded to half-season tickets (2 tickets together) on section 410....right at midcourt!!!

    I cant afford all 22 games, so I am willing to share with fans who might want 3 to 4 games. I will make sure that all packages are balanced with good and bad teams to make it fair.     Yao and the Chinese Team will be in Ft. Worth at Billy Bob's tonight. They play an exhibition against the Mavericks summer team at TCU on Thursday and SMU on Saturday night.
