You guys are forgetting Rudy is a coach. CD is the man on the phones more than likely. Rudy probably had a list of people he liked and ranked them. After that it was up to CD to make things happen. If Rudy doesn't know all the combinations of things going on, he really doesn't need to as it's out of his control at that point. ------------------ This space awaiting something witty to be said in a long, slow off-season...
Relax glynch, I'm pretty sure everybody was joking. I just think people expected to see a hectic room but were kind of disappointed. That's what most people picture since we rarely, if ever, see a draft war room. ------------------ "Win if you can, lose if you must but always cheat!" - Jesse Ventura
Lighten up on Rudy. I guess the same posters who get their undies all in a wad if someone has a misspelling, misses a punctuation mark or posts in an incorrect forum don't like Rudy's seeming lack of attention to details. As far as Rudy's communication skills, are you kidding me? He is a great communicator with the audience that counts most for his function--the players. He is a great motivater. Why do you think all the players want to stay? Management 101: in a complex organization no one person has the skills to do all activities at a high level. Rudy would probably not be good at writing press releases or doing the accounting for the Rockets. Many of the posters could do a better job at this. By the way, I bet some of the naysayers are probably the types who extol dubya as pres despite his lack of any attention to verbal or other details of his job. ------------------
