Use the "IMG" button at the top of the screen where you write ur post...there are a bunch of buttons..."B""I""U""http://"...and so on..paste the url of the pic into the box that opens when you click the "IMG" button... and as for the Rockets.com thing...I really think they may have gotten some good ideas from lookin here...after all, this place IS the standard for fan sites.
The rockets.com site is one of my department's responsibilities, but I can't let a comment like this go by without re-directing the praise towards the ones who are really doing the work, Andy Ware and the whole rest of the Creativity and Planning Department. In addition the great ideas that Andy & Co. already had going, they've done a great job delivering against some of our core strategies -- Turn Fans Into the 6th Man and Create Heroes. Tim
Hmm. Just checked again, and they worked for me. Last time I had a problem, it was because my Media Player or Real Audio software needed to be updated. Have you checked that? If you're still having problems, let me know at timm@rocketball.com. Tim
If its on your hard drive, you have to upload to some site that will host it for you. Then you can get it from there. Sorry, but I don't know any good hosting sites, though. I don't ever do this. But I'm pretty sure that's what you got to do.
Right RC, You will have to have them hosted on the Net...you can't link to them if they are on your hard drive...there are places out there you can have your files hosted...your ISP may give you storage space...or some of the guys on here have access to space online...I dont remember who all right now...maybe they will speak out..
Tim, Props to you and your crew. To be honest, I used to think rockets.com sucked but lately it has been really good with great content. I still wished it was better organized though. Its really hard to find things sometimes. Keep up the good work.
I think rockHEAD has his own...think...whatever you call it...maybe bandwidth? I want to also say DoD has one too, but I'm not sure of that at all. Though they would have to agree to host it as well. If they did let you, just e-mail them and they could take care of it. BTW, the only hosting site I can think of is tripod, but that's only because I always see their symbol instead of the picture, so I wouldn't get the stuff hosted there.
Another cause of video problems: if you have a popup killer you won't see the video's. I have the popup killer on 99% of the time because most of the people using popups are using them for ads. The official web site is awesome: the pics, stories and videos. The growth chart video is priceless.
SA Rocket, I can host a few pics for you, as long as they are decent enough of space, about under 1MB. I have 300MB of webspace to use from work, and I already use about 200 MB for various stuff (website, portable hard drive for misc. files). Just give me an email, I'll host it for you for a couple of days and post the pic for you.
Thanks to all who have answered. All the ones I've tried have been from private files so at least I know how to do both now. Thanks for the offer Dave. I don't have one right now but I'll keep yours stored for future use,if I can't have my wife do it from work(now that I know how). Thanks again CCNetters. BTW,anybody coming to see Yao tomorrow night. I'm ordering my tix as soon as I post this.
I have been checking every couple of hours & the video footage was never on there in the first place.
