why? i think coaches should yell when players make mistakes. i bet you're a big fan of dom capers.
    Offsides
camera cuts to dom capers with his pad taking notes......

Yao's a man. he can take it.

That foul was totally inexcusable. It was a completely bone-headed play by Yao. He deserved to get yelled at for that one.

Well, at least Adelman says "Thanks" before he gets up. It always irritated me how JVG jumped up and left without even saying anything.

But PLEASE take Alston out. Also, even though I like Chuck Hayes a lot, I want Scola to take more of his minutes. With Battier and Hayes and Alston, you have to go 2 on 5 on offense too much.

It was a terrible foul were up by two u cant give a little guy a layup and then foul, he makes the basket without a foul and were tied and got the ball. As for the guy who said jvg didnt yell at yao must have never seen a rockets game. Jvg would call timeouts just to get on yao lol.

Adelman always said "I don't know what's wrong with them", or "I don't know what's the problem , I will research it." or "I don't know why they miss so many chance."

I don't know what does he know, if he knows nothing, why does he get 3 million USD every year from rockets?

It's the time to replace him with another man who can say "I know!"

Heck yes Van Gundy is stubborn, if Rick Adelman runs a sorry assed Rafer Alston out there ALL FRICKEN year, then you may have a point, and I believe that Rick Adelman is trying to find out who on his team he can trust and who he needs to play to win big.

I expect that he has seen enough from this team, and will now tinker with a different rotation, and give them 10-15 games to prove themselves, and this will go on until one group settles in and gets it.
He knows, he is just protecting his players....I expect changes very soon.

And, Mike Harris played with the intensity this team needs...too bad we cut him.

We are losing all these games because of his stupid rotation. Nuff said.

And even though it was probably Yao's version of a payback, it was still a p***y foul and way too soft. Harris should have ended up in the 5th row unconscious.

So it was both stupid and soft.

So far, Adelman has not been real impressive, but it is probably too early to pass judgment. Staying with last year's lineup, when he was brought in to bring CHANGE is a bit strange. His poor handling of the SF situation was a downer.."I haven't talked with him, but he won't be in the rotation...." Dumb. Then appearing as if he was being resistant to the point of spitefulness. Bad PR. A .500 record, not exactly a positive. Getting beat up by the elite teams in the West, not encouraging. Right now, the Rockets are in a funk.

No, Yao wanted to stop Harris. He was the only rocket to play defense at that time. I think other rockets deserve more 'yell'.

Yao played hard. His attitude was good! Where are other rockets? Why didn't they try hard to stop Harries?!

That is different! JVG yelled at Yao when Yao was defending, not after his defense was fail.

Do you know what, it actually means coach A lost his calm, and let rockets players feel panic! :(

I think part of the problem is sitting Tmac and Rafer at the same time. The rest of our players are unable to get the ball to Yao and our offense stagnates. See 4th quarter stats.

JVG was stubborn on the Bonzi thing . .and it hurt THE TEAM
RA is being stubborn on the Steve thing. . .and it is hurting THE TEAM

There comes a point. . It doesn't matter if you practice like a DEMON if you cannot get it done in games

While Bonzi may not have practiced like JVG wanted. . . they players that were . . .weren't getting it done [well not in the 1st round]
You should have at least given him a shot

It remains to be seen if RA will take that path
At some point .. you gotta look at the games as more important as Practice
If it is not happening in the game. . . it is worse than if it ain't happening in Practice

Sounded to me that Coach 'A' doesn't know what is going on and he rushed away before the questions got too difficult to answer!
One thing I must mention is about Scola, the two good games Scola had he came in from the bench to play with Mike James and Mike was setting him up to score open shots. In this game Scola was brought in to substitute for Chuck and play with the starters- it was not a success!
The coaching staff seem slow to see things like this with the result that Scola didn't get to play again in this game!
Bad substitutions in the start of the second and fourth quarter IMHO.
9th position in the Western Conference!!!!!!!!!

You're right. JVG yelled at Yao all the time, and called him out in the media. Last night, Yao deserved it. That was foolish of him trying to block Harris with his LEFT HAND. He doubled the mistake by allowing a 3-point play, instead of fouling harder.
