Right on. Also, a few years ago, weren't the Rox jockeying to draft this guy in the second round but the Suns beat them to him? Kind of like Lee Part II.
Vspan 2.0 J/K, Dragic can actually play in the NBA, but this is still nothing more than a lateral move just to get rid of Brooks
I'm excited about adding a legit PG to our bench because we'll have more stability running our offense. I hated when Brooks would come in and screw up the flow of the game with his overdribbling.
Dragic is already a good point guard.... <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/LLWjQ7nZTkI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/QDUtvBJEuT4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Those are in the playoffs by the way.
Most fans who would want Flynn haven't seen the guy play. I'd take Dragic over Flynn and a 2nd rounder. Fact is Flynn is like a shorter version of Conley JR, he's above average when it comes to playmaking and he has pretty good quickness, but he has sub-par shooting skills and horrible defense. Plus like Bima said Dragic is cheaper. And then there's also the first rounder. So yeah, all the reasons in the world to get Dragic.
Dragic has playoff experience like Brooks Dragic was amazing during the playoffs like Brooks. We traded a guy who was unhappy, was playing poorly and was due for a big pay check for a guy who is cheap and much more team oriented. Dragic will be getting the ball to Lee, Hill and PPat. If we want our young guns to improve, you want a guy like Dragic playing with them, not Brooks.
Now you are talking some sense. The goal is not to win a trade but to pick the right players for the team
Possibly but I don't think so. I think Morey was trying to buy a pick around the time the Suns drafted Dragik.
Johnny Flynn is bust who is smaller in body than Aaron Brooks minus Brooks speed and shooting ability perhaps is why? I think Morey already nows what a worse version of Aaron Brooks would look like when Aaron was playing injured and was slower.
Who cares really. We know what we are going to get from brooks and we need more than that. This opens up some pt AND gives us picks. Shane was done in 24 games. We get a 7'3" lottery ticket. it was cheap but it probably wont pay off, but could.
Thats where you're wrong at. Lowry is not the long term answer at the point. Dragic isnt either, but flynn has the ability to be. I'm not going to say the rockets made a poor choice because they did get another 1st rd pick. In terms of upside, flynn has more than lowry and dragic.
Hahaha!!! Nice. But seriously, don't tell me you'd like to lose the extra $2M in cap room and/or salary cap flexibility this summer and the extra $4.3M in 2012--that could otherwise be used on a more significant player--in order to cover any perceived difference between Goran Dragic and Jonny Flynn as the backup PG.
I don't think cap space matters, never have. Now what happened this summer puts a dent in that certainly, but I don't think it affects the Rockets.
Just bcuz his skin is light doesn't mean his race is....bcuz he is not! and what does it matter if he was anyway.\..idk
