I ran into Mr Capela a few years back before the Rockets traded him at the Walgreens on Montrose/Westheimer. He was super nice and vary gracious. Like ive run into a handful of pro athletes in my life in various places and he was probably the nicest/most gracious. Doesn't matter to anybody but me but Im convinced he has to be a great guy in the locker toom. Super excited. If it was all an act, it was very well played by him.
can't believe J.R. didn't include ROCKETS LEGEND™ in the thread title. this forum has really gone to hell lately
I think they look at it in a more positionless manner. I think they see KD as having some guard skills to add to Amen, Fred, Reed, and Holiday. Factor in that Ime will play Fred 48 minutes a game and there's not a lot of room for more guards.
Anyone else maniacally hitting refresh on Twitter? My anxiety is as bad as Game 7 against Golden State. And it might be like this all summer. I don't want to lose Sengun!
That area is my old stomping grounds. I was actually walking around there just the other day while visiting family in H-Town. Really feels like the homeless population has exploded around there, there's always been a bit of it but it really struck me how much worse it got since the pandemic
Things are still in flux, but by my reckoning the Capela acquisition basically makes a trade for Giannis actually impossible this summer, from a cap perspective. Literally everyone on our roster is ineligible for trade right now except Sengun, Amen, Reed, Tari, Cam. Everyone else has has recently signed a contract or extension that makes them trade ineligible until December. We will be hardcapped at the first apron by the Capela acquistion. If we assume that only one of Sengun and Amen are in the trade, there is no possible trade construction that's legal for Giannis. Every one would put us over the first apron and thus isn't legal. The microscopic possibility is if somebody's already announced deal is renegotiated or changed, like FVV or DFS or Capela. Can't remember that ever happening.
Trading Sengun will go down as one of the franchise’s worst decisions. I’ll be incredibly upset. He leads our offensive win shares. He has a great head on his shoulders. He’s 22. Giannis is a corny af dickweed. I really hope this isn’t leading towards a package including Sengun for Giannis.
