Is it common knowledge that Codman's "tik, tik, tik" reference may be to Time Lord? That's what I thought, not sure if everyone already suspected that.

I read it as if he misses using Tik Tok.

Stone is done with trades, the addition of Springer leaves him quite contented. Rob Williams was just a smokescreen.

Bullet dodged. Moral of the story: Always be wary of constantly injured players. (Looking at YOU, Zion and LaMelo!)

Robert Williams likely done for season after knee surgery

Portland Trail Blazers center Robert Williams III is out four-to-six weeks after undergoing an arthroscopic procedure to address inflammation in his knee, the team announced Thursday.

Williams' timeline likely sidelines him for the rest of the season.

I don't think that's a big deal, it's a very very minor thing. No meniscus or patella or ligament issue so it's probably they just washing out some dead blood.

I bet he can play in a couple of weeks but what's the point with so many C's on the roster in a lost season for the Blazers.

If you want an elite rim protector/runner for second round picks of course you absorb that risk as long as the knee is structurally fine. If he were just healthy it would cost 2+ FRP's. I don't think Stone was ever interested in giving them a decent FRP.

If it were a single injury, I'd agree. It's the history of injuries that worries me.

As for the Blazers' "lost season," they're just 2 games out of a play-in spot with 12 games remaining, and their competition for that spot is the Mavs and Suns. They've got an outside shot at it.

Yeah I wouldn't acquire him and then not worry about it. Always saw it as a calculated risk.

Blazers I just think it's not worth putting pressure on a recovering player just to chase 10th pace. I don't even understand why they're doing that, they don't have enough picks and youth to go to phase 2. Wonder what they're thinking.

My guess: Chauncey likes the area and wants to keep his gig. Getting into the play-in might give him another year.

But that would mean the GM is on board right? Otherwise he'd just get fired.

If I were a Blazers fan who just came off a decade of being in denial about having enough to win a title, I'd be furious. Feel sorry for them.

But yeah the Blazers front office anything is possible I guess.
