And trash talking is part of the game. There's a risk that you fire the other side up - that's the danger. But if you don't want to be mocked, make your free throws. Other teams mocked us when we had Dwight. No one seemed to complain then.
If someone did this in Houston to, let's say a guy like Roberson, I would hope he would be thrown out of the arena
When you're a center shooting that poorly from the FT line its one thing (ala DeAndre, Clint, Dwight, Shaq etc.) but when you're a shooting guard that shoots below 50% from the charity stripe that's disrespectful. I mean, isn't that the whole purpose of being a SHOOTING guard?.... C'mon man! Btw, I was laughing at home too... that sh** was pitiful.
Ya that was pathetic AF. I honestly felt for him a little but not because he was getting laughed at by our bench. Just has to feel like **** to ruin it for your team like that. But holy **** how long have you been playing basketball?
They said it was disrespectful therefore they were offended by the Rockets players laughing at it not trying to confuse you, just making a reply to the subject
We are a franchise that has had Chuck Hayes and Chinanu Onuaku and Dwight Howard shoot freethrows with people laughing constantly. But OKC fans would have to follow the NBA to know that.
Are we supposed to be feeling ashamed that they are laughing at this or feel bad for Roberson? 1.)it was pretty much the young bloods who dont play, who cares? 2.)YOU GET PAID MILLIONS, MAKE YOUR FREE THROWS. 3.) Josh Smith, Dwight Howard and Clint Capela were all in the same team once. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Miss me with the feeling sorry for Roberson or feeling bad that the Rockets laughed.
I'm not sure what free throw attempt they started laughing at, but it could have just been laughing at the utter disbelief that the Thunder were keeping him in the game. With each missed free throw it made it more absurd that Donovan was keeping him out there.
That idiot who tweeted that makes it look like it was a bad thing. Does that moron know there's been worse from other teams before? I tweeted that moron about NBA players been doing that for a long time. Never answered back. But I did got into a tweet fight with a cry baby, Westbrook fan who wouldn't stop crying about the bad officiating. It was bad officiating for both teams the whole series. I hate the Westbrook fan boys.
I was just thinking about that. I was laughing my ass off in '95 watching Nick Anderson brick those FTs. And when I heard his FT% took a dive in later seasons, I laughed again. Whenever someone calls him Nick the Brick, I laugh. You don't earn anyone's respect by bricking crunch time free throws in a playoff game.
