JuanValdez, My concern is about cost! Webber cost a lot. $12m and ALL our exceptions. Basically, if we get Webber, we'll have to trade bodies to get anymore center help, and mathematically we will lose Mo' and Dream, in the opinion of most all threads that have discussed this before. Unless Mo' takes something under $3m this year....that's too risky. Webber is a matter of cost and risk now, not a talent discussion. Save your money or spend it all on Webber.
Juan: Done deal! I sent a big "thank you" on behalf of the BBS to them. I'm sure they appreciate it. I'll let you know what I hear back. ------------------ Things do not change; we change. - Henry David Thoreau
We need to keep Bullard as our obligatory player over the age of 30. Once Mobley turns the big 30, then he can move peacefully to the broadcast booth . ------------------ Don't let those uppity newbies get away with acting like vets... ...all newbies are equal, remember that.
hence "when Bulls hangs em up". I'm sure he'll be around for awhile, playing the role of the crafty veteran "I remember when we won the first championship....I used that check to buy a beauty salon for my wife" However, Langhi needs some time or he'll be never shine... ------------------
"Griffin has the kind of shotblocking and athleticism that Dream as a rook PLUS Griffin's post up game and shot is superior to where Dream was in '84" RHester, Akeem (then) averaged 20+ points and almost twelve boards a game his first year. I love Griffin but you are "Dreaming" (pardon the pun) if you think Griffin is going to produce like that. Additionally Dream averaged 2.6 blocks a game. While Griffin got a lot of blocks against Big East competition last year, that is not the same as against bigger, stronger, better Western Conference players. So i doubt he'll average 2.6 blocks this year. Enthusiasm is good, but lets not go overboard. And lets not attribute Hall Of Fame numbers to a guy with one year of second tier college experience. ------------------
second tier college experience. Ahem... *cough*thebigeastrocks*cough*cough* I resent that remark . ------------------ Don't let those uppity newbies get away with acting like vets... ...all newbies are equal, remember that.

Haven, you said you don't think Langhi or Morris can play 2 or 4. I think you're probably right about the 4, but Langhi played the 2 spot in a game last year and did pretty good, although most people seemed to have missed it. Also, I have read a couple of times that Morris was projected at the 3 and 2 in the pros. If that pans out, it would give both of them a few more minutes. ------------------
