It must suck to hate the Rockets and not hope for the best like you do. Do you also think Yao's going to break his foot, Kevin Martin is going to get injured, and that Taylor/Hill are scrubs that will never make it in the NBA?

i have serious doubts about Yao Ming staying healthy.

I am not sure that is a very nice thing to say Max, asking Clutch to moderate between two guys who clearly do not get along and are better off ignoring each other.

I don't blame you Max, I know you are a fan, and you will come around.

Others live to point out the team's failures.

Enjoy the season, I certainly will.

Seriously, there is a massive "Yao is made of glass" community now.

And they might be right, but they could also be wrong.

We the fans have no choice but to "HOPE" for the best and that the surgery that the doctors performed on Yao works out and he can resume his career.

He played over 80 games the year before last with a screw and only had a minor crack develop in his bones, now with the new restructuring, that problem might be solved it was for Big Z, he is still playing at 34/35......

Yao could be too......let's HOPE so.....right?

1. the part about derivatively through Clutch...it was lawyer humor and not very funny...

2. i actually am excited to see this team play. there have been various incarnations of the Rockets which i have enjoyed that found themselves out in the first round of the playoffs. the first year with MadMax is one of them. it's just the comparison to Duncan's Spurs is just too much. i don't think you have to be a cynic or unexcited about the Rox to point that out.

but hope and think are 2 entirely different things.

 

I think our Rockets team are like the Houston Comets dynasty team:

Yao Ming - Cynthia Cooper (I have a hard time understanding either when they talk)

Luis Scola - Janeth Arcain (both are from South America)

Shane Battier - Tina Thompson (both have questionable street cred; one is a Dukie and the other bore a child with Damon Jones)

Kevin Martin - Sheryl Swoopes (can't decide who's more effeminate; one likes girls, the other acts like one)

Aaron Brooks - Kim Perrot (our heart and soul...and no I'm not going there...)

 

awesome. more than 35 members, unfortunately, so not a closely held corporation. (i'm dealing with an LLC, so work with me here)

 

Well there are comparisons in style of play, but until the Rockets hit the floor and do it night in and night out, clearly the comparisons are done in fun.

I mean it when I say the cynics are way more prevelant than they used to be, it is like people got embittered as Yao's career went on.

Look at it this way, if Yao breaks, this is his LAST year....if he doesn't that means the surgery worked out......this is a very good year to be a fan, we get to find out the direction for the next 5-10 years....THIS SEASON.....

That is pretty rare, and somewhat exciting.
