Rockets knocked out the Jazz in 94 and 95. TBH I didn’t really care about them until that ****ing series in 97. Everything after, pure antipathy.

I don't think it's just fairweathers that hate the Lakers. I've always hated the way LA fans act/are, which has made me dislike the team.

What's hilarious is the fact that years of inbreeding have resulted in these prime examples of your average Utah sports fans.

    So I say let'em hate

Ah - I should have assumed that. I couldn't stand the mid-2000s Jazz team at all either.

Okur, AK47, Harping. God damn it. Always felt our team had more talent but Boozer's and Okur's ability to shoot took Yao out of the paint and made him into a defensive liability was an underrated factor. Then again, maybe we actually didn't have any talent around Yao and McGrady -we still had CD as the GM.

Perfect. I hate Utah and it has very little to do with the Jazz.
We did them harm in the playoffs in the 90s. It was a beautiful thing and have lots of great memories. Even last year’s series was fun to watch...because Capela made Gobert look like a child and Donovan “Mellow Yellow” Mitchell is really fun to watch.
They will always have one shot they can claim on us. That’s it.

I must protest calling this ZDog character Bat Dog. Bat Dogs are a sub-species of bats that live in small numbers among the millions of bats that live under the Congress Avenue Bridge in Austin. As some of you may know, gathering around the bridge at dusk at certain times of the year (like most of the time) to view the bats going forth to devour zillions of insects is a popular tourist pastime, and a "coming of age" ritual for the children of local parents.

While the Bat Dogs are small in number, they gather together under the bridge (legend says that they sing, in their own inexplicable way, "Shall we gather at the river?" A religious hymn, to be sure, and sung off-key, but there you are). When they burst forth, those unlucky enough to be under their trajectory can experience the massive poop bombing Bat Dogs are famous for. While a rare occurrence, there was a local street fellow who patiently waited for those moments, sitting on his old folding chair selling little moist towelettes for $5 bucks a package for those unlucky enough to have forgotten their umbrellas.

I heard that he made enough a couple of years ago to pay for a bus ticket to San Francisco. Rumor has it that he was in search of two things. @B-Bob and Bat Dogs. B-Bob due to his scientific acumen. The poor fellow heard that he is a genius, having the good fortune (or misfortune - there's an argument about that among local bat enthusiasts) to have stumbled upon ClutchFans at the local library's free computer access, and wanted to see if B-Bob could help him publish in a scientific journal the opus he had been working on for years.

The man's scientific study of the local phenomenon, "Austin's Bat Dogs, Their Ups and Downs," is, or perhaps was, his passion. Years of study undertaken by an amateur, to be sure, but of an unusual, little known creature, endangered, no doubt, by man's interactions with Nature in Austin since the 1970's. Not a bad title, but I doubt that he found his hero. B-Bob would have mentioned it here, I'm sure, if he had been found by Bat Dog Guy, the moniker he is, or was, affectionately known by here in Austin. His other reason was to see if Bat Dogs had another rare home under the Golden Gate. The gentleman, carrying all of his belongings, was last scene crawling under the center span of the great bridge. It was foggy, as it often is there, and he hasn't been seen since. :(

I don't think the Spurs fans hate the Rockets..at least not all the ones I've met. We have mutual respect for the other team and appreciate the rivalry. Even when one of the 2 teams is having a bad year, we still know those games will be close.

Mavs fans hate both the Rockets and the Spurs
    Rockets fans hate the Mavs
    Spurs fans hate the Mavs

Most of us Older fans still hate the Jazz though. I know I relish every win over them.
