This is why the NBA fails compared to the NFL and NBA ticket sales wise.

The real question is... Why would you pay a high price to go watch your team receive a thrashing at the hand of Hobe and the b!tch a$$ fakers? Not to mention you'll have to watch Ron Arrest in a fakers jersey.

Seems pretty short sighted to me... if you hit someone hard on the ticket price doesn't that just give them less money to spend on souvenirs, food, drinks/beer?

The scalpers have done that for years, but they were selling maybe a few hundred lower level tickets and the Rockets have to sell a few thousand. They'll have people in the seats but no one in line at the concession stand.

I bet they see higher single game ticket sales revenue but they will experience a drop off somewhere else.

Someone suggested the two game package idea, thats probably the most logical way of doing it.... The Texans do that sometimes.

The Rockets should work with viagogo if they really want to maximize revenue. viagogo are the guys who invented Stubhub.

Thats probably true and would be best for the team, but is that really good for the fan? The team trying to squeeze every dollar out of the average fan's wallet?

    UPDATE

They have lowered prices on the lower level tickets. The upper deck will happen next.

That's good news. Not if you already purchased but at least they know that they need people in the seats.

    Bump

    Prices are now affordable

Plenty of ticket still left from the box office for the Laker game. We need to fill the place tomorrow!

Buy some tickets people. The Rockets have even lowered their prices from the ridiculous ones that I mentioned when I started the thread.

The team is playing well and the game needs to be full.
